I had never head of this dog food before and I’m fairly picky about what my dogs eat. I checked dog food advisor, and they didn’t list this particular type but they did have a couple of the Bully Max brands and both scored highly. That gave me the confidence to try because, while this one wasn’t listed, the fact that the brand name didn’t have any low scoring foods tells me that the manufacturer is paying attention to what goes into their food and I’m hoping that carries over to this one. Inspecting the ingredients list, I would have preferred to see the meat, chicken, listed first or even second but after doing a little research chicken meal, that is listed first, may actually contain more nutrient than the meat. The only thing that really gave me pause was salt, considering that it was high up in the list, I would guess that there is quite a bit. I’m sure it makes it delicious, because who doesn’t like salt, but that might not be a great thing for my dogs in the long run. When I put this into their bowl they love it, in fact, they were picking through the food to get this one out from around their current brand. I think maybe they thought this was a treat since it was different. Either way as an addition to their current brand they are happy campers. ... show more

I thought the last bag of the lamb flavored puppy bully max I bought was awesome, but this one right here! This packs on that great weight!!! This will be his food selection moving forward, it keeps him happy, and agile, he really enjoys the smaller bite option, and it breaks down better in his stomach than the lamb pellets which are more the size of a nickel.
