This Tongkat Ali seems to be pretty good. If you've researched it at all. You've probably read it acts as an aphrodisiac as well as other things. And I definitely get a strange buzz from it. Other than that at a week into it. I've decided to cycle it 5 days on & 2 off. To keep my tolerance down. I'm a man even though our screen name is what it is. And I can tell you for sure. With me anyway. It definitely boosts libido and performance. My muscles are also somewhat tighter. And I've lost a little weight. I also seem less hungry. Less appetite and food cravings. And my overall mood seems a little more relaxed. I kinda wish I didn't get the strange buzz from it. And still got the other benefits. But we'll see what happens. Some studies have shown this extract can do some pretty amazing things. And I've gotta say so far it's living up to it. The only side effects I've had is the buzz. A "sizable" boost to libido & performance. More energy & improved mood. Less food cravings and a little weight loss. And that's exactly what I'd hoped for. Minus the buzz. Maybe everyone doesn't get that. But I'm sensitive to most medicine and supplements. For the price and quantity this seems to be a great value and effective product. I'm pleased with this purchase. And was offered a free sample of any other product. I'd recommend this for sure at this point.

Haven't been taking it for very long, but long enough to notice that the full dose (1000mg) causes emotionality and palpitations, so be careful with that. Feels like 1500mg or 2000mg would give me a heart attack. So I'm going to stick with 500mg, which I can't feel at all. Can't say for certain I notice any effects other than those side effects. Update: Even 500mg is too much. Seems like anything more than 250mg causes moderate to severe anxiety.

My husband and I both take this. It improves our energy quite a bit. I take a very small amount - 1/8 teaspoon. The taste is extremely bitter so I developed a trick to swallow it. I put a small amount of butter spray on a spoon, then squeeze some honey from a squeeze bottle onto the spoon, place the Longjack on top of the honey and stir it into a glob with a knife. I then swallow the honey and wash it down like a pill with a mouthful of coffee. It's relatively painless compared to any other method we have tried. It also does boost both of our libidos. I would have to say if it has a side effect it is that of "intenseness". I find it harder to relax while taking it and it does affect my sleep somewhat. The energy it helps with is a good thing and many times it is worth the slight side effects to have the energy and increase in libido. It improves my mood and I would say it seems to increase my metabolism.

It’s changed. Used to be dark and gritty. Now it’s light and flourish. Don’t seem to hit like it did at the same dose. Where did the uncut version go? Hate to do it but I’ll change brands.

Unlike another bulk product I tried, this 100:1 powder has the color, taste and smell that I expected. Tongkat Ali should be BITTER, and this powder is relentless! While not suggested by the manufacturer, when taken on an empty stomach I experienced a mild, but noticeable caffeine-like energy boost within about an hour. A competing manufacturer sells a 200:1 extract, however I found it entirely ineffectual at even 10 times the dosage. In my attached photo, this manufacturer's 100:1 extract is on the right. A 200:1 extract from a competitor is on the left. Obviously, colors can be manipulated and different extraction methods have an impact. However, the 200:1 extraction on the left "cakes" as if there is a degree of moisture (or fillers?) in the product. I want to be fair: As the extractions and methods are different, I may be comparing apples to oranges. That said, I would humbly suggest that this 100:1 extract strikes me as authentic in every way.

I previously purchased longjack in capsule form from another provider for use as part of my weightlifting supplementation - in hopes of increasing my testosterone naturally. I was hoping it would give me extra power and energy when in the gym and did notice a positive impact on libido but no real impact on my workouts, so I thought I would try this brand. I've been using the bulk supplements brand longjack for about two months and started with two daily doses of 1/4 teaspoon, but again, so far the only noticeable effect has been an increase in libido. Originally I had intended to put this powder in capsules. Intrigued by the chance to see if i could stomach the taste, I mixed it with the pre-flavored creatine and other supplements I take with water. I did not find the taste to be as bad as some reviews make it out to be. It does taste bitter and I would describe it as "earthy," but I could stomach it if I had to without any flavoring (plugging my nose of course). Taking it with the flavored creatine or other flavored beverage is definitely tolerable as part of my 2x daily supplement routine. Would I buy it again? I'm not sure yet. I bought the 250g package, and it looks like it's going to last me awhile. I cycle it 5 days on, 2 days off each week to help ensure my body continues to respond to it. If you're interested in this or other supplements, I've found Examine.com to be a helpful resource. Low-grade evidence (ranked 3 of 4 in terms of research quality), shows that longjack has the potential to: produce a minor decrease in cortisol, weight and stress, and produce a minor increase in erections, libido, seminal motility/sperm quality and subjective well-being. It seems that my experience aligns with what this research has shown - that this isn't necessarily a great supplement for athletic performance but could be good for bedroom performance...
