I used to work out a lot, and got out of the swing of things for about two years. I am 6’2 currently 225lbs. I have recently started hitting the gym regularly and started my supplementation routine up again. I am not a professional bodybuilder, more casual, but I do deem certain supplements to be critical in muscle building and repair. I don’t see the point in investing 2 hours a day 4 days a week at the gym if I am not going to supplement my body accordingly. As someone who has been going to the gym since I was 13, I have seen others work out for years and yet somehow their physique never changes or improves. They may get stronger, but their body literally looks the exact same as it did 2-3 years ago. I have also witnessed many steroid users beef up, and deflate, only to be left with ruined joints, acne scars, a roid gut, and a false sense of dignity. This is what I try to avoid, and why I choose natural supplements. I have tried just about every supplement, done extensive research, and taken note of what actually works and what is simply overhyped BS. I recently discovered Bulk Supplements on Amazon. They have offered me a few samples of products and I have agreed to review a few of their products in return. My supplementation includes: Whey Protein, Casein Protein, Creatine, L-Arginine, Citrulline, L-Glutamine, BCAA‘s(2:1:1), Beta Alanine, Green Tea (ECGC), Calcium Citrate, Fish Oil (Omega-3), Zinc, a multi-vitamin, and Magnesium. These are supplements that have been clinically proven to actually work, and fit in with my goals of replacing a light layer of body fat with lean muscle. My goal is not to gain weight and get beefy, but to be lean and mean, yet healthy. Bulk Supplements Company Review: Fast, friendly, GREAT customer service, willing to give free samples to those who use them, have not had any problems at all with this seller. Product Review: I have gotten all of the supplements listed above from Bulk Supplements except for Whey Protein, and my multi-vitamin. The supplements all come in an opaque, silver, Ziploc bag. I have opted to ditch the bags and use other containers as the zip lock on the bag is sometimes uncooperative. Also, if you buy in bulk, and the bag gets low, you have to reach your whole hand in to the bag to scoop out product. Product gets all over your hand and it can get a little messy trying to scoop it right out of these bags. This isn’t a big deal at all to me; it’s just easier to use a different container with a screw on or lock tight lid. You will also want to pick up a measuring spoon set, as most of the supplements are in powdered form and require a specific dosage. You can estimate using a teaspoon only, but a measuring spoon set is fairly cheap. All of the supplements are clean, pure, and exactly what they say they are on the label. You will need to do your own independent research to determine the dosage of what you want to take, because the bags have recommended ranges of dosages, and not specific dosages listed. So, do your research based on your body weight and type, and figure out the dose you need, and when and how often you need to take it! To summarize, Bulk Supplements is an honest, customer friendly company, with good products to match. I have no complaints about anything.

I have been sedentary for over a year now and almost 300 lbs. I have suffered from a general malaise that has kept me on the couch pretty much all day. My health is beginning to fail me and my immune system is starting to crash, I get sick a lot easier and for a longer time. This year I have decided to change my lifestyle. I have tried “miracle pills” chock full of caffeine and the next wonder cure for obesity and general sloppiness. This time I wanted to hit the root of the problem. I didn’t want to fool my body with “instant energy” that is merely a stimulant in disguise. I know with my processed food diet and habit of wearing a whole in the couch, I was missing some key nutrition to jumpstart my system. I searched everything from creatine to thermogenics always finding the same basic “bad for me in the long run” ingredients. Then I found bulk supplements. I started doing my research on amino acids and other supplements offered. What I found was these were pure, unadulterated building blocks essential to proper nutrition. Basically everything they sell is found in real food. While the names and abbreviations might be a little scary (being mostly scientific) a little research will set your mind at ease. Now, I bought a milligram scale (which you WILL need for proper daily dosage) and got about 6 supplements I thought would fill holes in my current diet and increase my energy from the ground up. I ordered AAKG, Beta Alanine, BCAA 3:1:2, D-Aspartic Acid, DHEA, and MSM. I mostly read the product descriptions and saw what they do, and decided what I wanted them to accomplish for me, then picked the ones that offered those benefits. I have been taking all of these daily for about two weeks now. RESULTS: Wow, the first day I cleaned the whole house, I couldn’t stop. My soft muscles were aching the whole time, but somehow that didn’t matter. I wanted to sit, I did sit, but found myself back up after 5 minutes without realizing it doing something else without even thinking about it. That is why I haven’t gone to the gym yet. I am a little worried I will lose myself working out and accidentally hurting myself by going too hard too soon. I am planning to start hitting the gym next week and start off with light cardio to get my body used to being active again. One other important thing to mention, my appetite has gone from brontosaurus to sparrow. I’m not sure if I wasn’t hungry or just forgot to eat. I know skipping meals is bad when trying to lose weight, but I guess a couple missed lunches won’t upset the cart. I am also chugging water like a champion racehorse, water in is water out as they say. BAD THINGS: I want to touch on a couple things that I don’t particularly care for about these products. Some might find them unbearable, but if you power through they should become more bearable over time. Bathroom visits were frequent and powerful for the first few days. I was using the bathroom so much I had to buy some baby wipes for my sore bum. I think this is due to a quasi detox period my body was and still is going through, plus all that water has to come out some way, lol. I think of it like putting engine cleaner through your tired engine, the gunk is going to come out, one way or another. The taste of some of these supplements is plain horrible. I tried them with water the first day and figuratively almost died. I switched over to using V8 juice and the taste is almost completely masked. I can’t wait to hit the gym so I can update this review with how great I feel before during and after working out, thanks to bulk supplements.

One caveat: since it contains l-arginine, if other dietary components contain enough l-arginine to reach your individual threshold, it can lead to activation of HSV-1. I ate some peanuts after taking this product for a few days and began to get small fever blisters on my lip. L-lysine fixed that.' Next order I'll get l-ornithine alphaKetoGlutarate and avoid the HSV-1 issue.

I was originally intrigued when I saw L-arginine on the monster energy drinks and decided to look up what this ingredient was. I actually use Bulk Supplements' L-citrulline-malate but when I ran out, I decided to give L-arginine a try. "Apparently," L-arginine is an ingredient in monster energy drinks that is supposed to: "take your fat and turn it into energy for the body to use." Well, I also found out from personal experience, and you can find this information on Mayo Clinic, that L-arginine can also activate cold sores if you take a certain dose. When I first tried it, I stuck to 3 grams. Taste was weird, it's hard to describe. It's not bad tasting, but it doesn't have a taste either. I added it to water and it made the water taste weird? I can't really describe it but if you add it to flavored water I think it should be "okay". When I took it, I didn't feel any energy like you feel when you take L-citrulline-malate. It was more of a mellow feeling. Still dilated my veins and still got a good workout in from it. But the problem was when I increased the dosage to 4 grams. The day after that, I woke up with a cold sore on the side of my tongue. The cold sore was also PERFECTLY placed where it would hit my teeth and cause discomfort. For about 2-3 days, the discomfort turned into slight pain, especially when eating or chewing food that requires you to chew A LOT to break it down. I put some salt water on a brush and brushed the cold sore before brushing with toothpaste at night. It went away but I haven't used L-arginine since. And that was only after 3 days of use. (3 grams first day - chest, triceps, 3 grams second day - back, biceps, 4 grams on the third day - which was after two days off: rest day and legs - I don't take any energy supplements on rest day and legs). Key things to note: L-arginine can cause cold sores like how it says on Mayo Clinic. If you're looking for something that will give you energy and dilate your blood vessels for a nice pump in the gym, just get their L-citrulline-malate. It's one of the ingredients in preworkout without the additives and sugars to make it taste good. L-citrulline-malate is slightly bitter, so you can add it to flavored water or a flavored beverage like gatorade or something. If you want cold sores, take L-arginine.

I hate the bodybuilders trying to sell supplements saying they don’t use steroids and they recommend this product and that product . Cut the bs please. Super powerful. Look most I am not here to advertise for any 1, I am here as an honest reviewer . We know Amazon gets a lot of smack downs on fake reviews but let me assure I am not fake. Ok on this supplement in my life in regards to fitness goals health in general this is actually a must have. Number one being 40 and a male in an Estrogenic generation isn't fun; limbido crashes fatigue etc. This is an incredible supplement that really asorbs very well especially underneath the tounge it has assisted in instant sexual desire which may not be on everyone's list but it is on mine because I love to please my fiance. Also this is a pump supp. Literally if your in ok shape can see some blood vessels in your arms you really will if you load up on this at three teaspoons a day. Nitric oxide plays a vital role in HGH production blood pressure sexual function and protein synthesis. I choose this brand because man your getting a lot for your money. Other supps yes may have other synergistic elements but how long do they last??? --- This one taken three times or two per day with your blends or on empty yields incredible results. And increases blood flow very well. I have used arginine in the past, first time I tried it as a promo in a local store (buy this and get this free thing etc), from one of those brands advertised in magazines. I was able to have some more reps in sets plus the recovery time after finishing my training was lowered so I knew what to expect from arginine. After some time I quit taking most of the supplements and also changed my training routines, went from the typical isolation-exercises with free weights to circuit training with lots of bodyweight (calisthenics) and few free-weight exercises. Now that I decided to take some supplements again, arginine was the first to come to my mind besides the typical protein shake. However I didn't want to go with expensive brands that are more hype than anything else, that's when I discovered Bulk supplements. For the price I was a little skeptic but gave it a try anyway buying the 500 gram version. After weeks of using it here are my conclusions: - The package is really simple and better than those plastic containers that most of the supplements come, it takes little space. - it doesn't have flavor enhancers so if you like sweet things or with some flavor this may not be for you (it has a little sour taste but I think that's the normal arginine powder taste.) - Using the label measurements I take 1 teaspoon (2647 mg) about 30-45 minutes before starting my training, sometimes after finishing I take half teaspoon. So far this has made the best results. - I haven't tested the sexual benefits but considering that one of the key ingredients in a lot of sexual enhancement pills is arginine probably this will work too (some men take 2-3 grams of arginine before having sex and say they perform better). Maybe in the future I will stack this with another supplement (I'm considering options right now) but so far it has worked nice. The price to serving ratio is really good and performs just like it's supposed to.

While I don't believe that there are any peer reviewed studies to confirm my experience I do have my own anecdotal evidence to offer. I bought the this because of its purported anti aging benefits. I quickly noticed thought that my legs do not wear out so fast and feel better after I use it and feel more fatigued and I experience some muscle pain when I forget. Now I am not an athlete and I don't work out but I stay very busy in my shop and yard. I was experiencing a lot of fatigue by late evening but this seems to keep that at bay so I don't need to sit and rest as often and I recover quicker. In fairness I can say that I am 55 years old, apx, 9'5" tall, about 166lbs and pretty actively moving and doing things in the evenings and on weekends. I spend a lot of my work day in a car driving between customer locations but in the course of my work I am up and down on the floor a lot. Once I get home my activity increases a lot, out in my shop, home and yard maintenance, cars, whatever. I don't watch TV and I am no couch potato. All I can say is that it helped me, I take 1 teaspoon when I get up, when I get home from work and at bedtime.

I like this product, like others have mentioned, they offered me the incentive of free product to write this review. Having said that, I wouldn't write a false review if I didn't believe what I was writing. This seems to me to be a high quality product and I do feel that it bumped up my workouts. Its hard for me to isolate just this one product from the other supplements that I take before I workout since I take a few things before training begins. One thing that seems to be a side benefit or side effect depending on how you want to look at it, is that this stuff does seem to increase your sex drive somewhat, and makes it easier to get an erection. I don't think its anything as dramatic as taking viagra or cialis (both of which I have tried) but combined with D asparic acid, which increases your natural free testosterone level, it seems to make a significant difference in sex drive for me over what I would consider to be my baseline. For reference, I am a 38 year old competitive bodybuilder who is natural, and has never used steroids. I am 5'7 and 195 lbs. with 5% bodyfat as measured per caliber test.So I am in very good shape both in muscularity and also in cardiovascular. I run and/or hike 4-5 times per week, train four times per week in the gym, and have good strength, for purposes of comparison for those of you wondering what I mean by having good strength (free weight squats with 405 lbs for 12 reps with good form, wrapping my knees, but no weight belt, incline dumbbell press 125 lbs in each hand for 12 reps with good form.) I am no novice to the world of weight training and bodybuilding.
