The Bugaboo Donkey 6 is an amazing stroller, especially if you're traveling with more than one little one. Whether you have multiples or children close to the same age, the stroller can convert into a system that will work for you, and this sibling seat is one of the ways it's done. The main stroller comes with a single seat, and then you add on either a second seat to make it a double stroller, or there's also an option for a bassinet. I have the Bugaboo stroller in the beige (Desert Taupe Melange), and I also have twins, so I picked up this sibling seat to turn it into a double. My twins are just almost 2 years old and this works great for them. The size and design of stroller feels very much created to be used as a double stroller. So when using it as a single, the handle bar can seem wider than other single strollers, because it's meant to extend out even wider to account for adding a second seat. When the second seat isn't attached, there is added storage on the side which is unlike most other strollers that typically use an undercarriage storage. As a single stroller it's big, but as a double it's what you would want from one. Something large enough and heavy duty enough to handle two kids and all the baby gear that comes along. This sibling seat connects so easily, just like the main one does. The frame of the stroller extends out from several areas, so that this second seat can be attached to it. And just like the main seat, this second seat can be swapped around so it can turn and face either way. Most, if not all of the features that the main stroller seat has, this additional add on seat does too. You can even fold the stroller down with both seats attached, however this does make for a very heavy stroller so can be a lot to muscle picking it up to put it in the back of my SUV. One thing I though of after setting this up is if someone was just planning on using their Bugaboo Donkey 6 stroller as a single, but over time decided they wanted a new color, a person could just pick up one of these sibling seats and fully swap out the seat that came with the stroller for this seat. They're the same seats. So and example being, if you received the stroller in black as a baby shower gift, but after a while you realized you'd rather have something in a different color, like grey or white, you could easily just swap out the seats and it would be the same as if you'd bought the stroller in another color. Overall the Bugaboo Donkey 6 is amazing, and these sibling seats turn it into an outstanding side by side style double stroller.

If you have already invested in the world of Bugaboo strollers then you know that the quality and function is top tier and worth the initial buy in. This Donkey sibling seat is a perfect example of how well engineered and thought out every stroller is - this second seat set seamlessly makes the single stroller into a double! The quality of the materials is evident with both looks and touch. Made to be durable and longlasting while still comfortable for little ones and easy to keep clean for the caretakers. This seat is great for the youngest to the oldest of kids that need a safe (and sturdy) spot to ride. The Donkey stroller is great for being able to easily adapt between a single and a double so you can use it how is best suited to your day to day needs as a busy parent. The extendable canopy is so nice for offering shade on sunny days, ventilation when it's hot, and a cozy spot to recline for naps.

We received a hand‑me‑down Bugaboo Donkey frame, and I was really happy to find that this Donkey 6 sibling seat was still compatible. That alone made this purchase feel worthwhile, and I truly appreciated Bugaboo’s long‑term compatibility design, but the fabric and seat frame are the parts that are not interchangeable, so that's something to note. Overall, the seat is great. It’s comfortable, feels secure once assembled, and the kids seem happy in it. There are a few flaws, but none that make it unusable it definitely does the job well. Now, full transparency: assembling the seat fabric was not easy, especially at nearly 8 months pregnant. There are no included instructions, nothing on Amazon, and I had to rely on YouTube. The official Bugaboo video is good, but it makes the process look easier than it really is. That said, the difficulty is partly because the fabric fits very tightly and snugly, which is actually a good thing once it’s on, I’m not worried about it moving or loosening. Still, it required some serious “mom strength” to get everything into place. The harness is nicely padded. It looks a little funny at first with all the straps, but they function more like cushions for the littles, and I actually really like that. The multi‑strap system and quick‑release setup are well designed and easy to use once assembled. The seat fits well next to the original seat, though it’s a little tight when placing them together, which makes sense for a compact side‑by‑side. Just be careful not to pinch your fingers when attaching everything. The expandable sunshade with zipper extension is a great feature, especially during nap time when we’re out. One downside: when it’s not expanded, the flap hits right near the head area. It bothers one child but not the other, so we solved that by putting the one child in this seat and the other in the original one, workable, but slightly odd and if we didn't have a different shade, it could be an issue. The handle locks securely, but it’s a bit jiggly, and of course the littles discovered this immediately and enjoy yanking on it. The release buttons are on the inside, which is helpful for managing two seats, but one of my kids did figure them out and likes to press them. That feels more like a “kids being kids” issue than a flaw, but worth noting. Important cost consideration This is just the seat, and does not come with the bassinet fabric. Bugaboo advertises the frame as working for either a bassinet or a seat, which is great if you have twins, but this product does not include bassinet fabric. If you need that, it’s an additional ~$250, on top of: The original stroller This second seat (This) The à‑la‑carte system is nice in theory, but at this price point, it adds up fast. Not a dealbreaker, just something you really need to understand before buying. I truly appreciated being able to use a hand‑me‑down frame and still upgrade it safely. This is a great system, and the seat itself is well made, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Just go in knowing: Assembly takes effort Instructions aren’t included, This is only a seat, not a full twin setup If you already have the Donkey frame and understand the system, this seat is a solid addition, just a lot of money for “just an extra seat,” even though it’s a good one.

When traveling with 2 children, it was quite a hassle. With the second seat, we were able to create a side-by-side in our stroller. It fits in well and has the same quality as the stroller. All parts are high-end made and have a good feel to the texture and a good amount of weight. It also comes with a canopy to extend out and block the sun during annoying days. Overall we like this and it is very easy to use.

Having a second child, I got a tandem second seat for my Donkey 6. The installation process was time-consuming due to the tight places to reach the attachments and lining up the frame clips to get everything installed correctly. However, once locked in, it feels solid with no shifting of the frame when used. The reversible second seat can be easily flipped from the parent-facing mode to the forward-facing mode, and all three recline positions operate smoothly when adjusting. The overall feel of the stroller when pushed is the same as when using it before with only one child, with no sluggish movement or binding at all. The harness straps adjusted easily, and the color of the canopy matched the original well. Weight distribution is even with both children and the diaper bag on and by themselves. As a note, the shoulder straps may dig into children's shoulders if they are not properly centered; most of this is likely due to the child fitting properly in the seat. In conclusion, the seat has been used regularly without signs of wear. I love it so much!

I started using this sibling seat as soon as it arrived, and the transition from single to double stroller was much easier than I expected. Bugaboo is my favorite brand for all baby needs, gear and products and for good reason, the quality of their products is just unbeatable to all the rest. I've never used a sibling seat before and was absolutely shocked how easy it was to install, it really was just a few clicks and it was locked in place, secure and good to go. The fabric on this is extremely easy to spot clean, looks so chic, stylish and well made. I could instantly tell from opening the box before I even set this up that this was superb quality and it seems as if so much thought, care and effort was put into this sibling seat. This made my life so much easier and I truly can't wait to try more and more products from Bugaboo as my family continues to expand. This seems extremely comfortable for my little one and very secure which gives me the upmost peace of mind. This is definitely worth it and I'm extremely happy with it.
