I'm using these to clean up some chrome pieces on a 51 MG TD. The car was in storage for over 30 years and much of the chrome was rusty or pitted. I used a two speed Dremel tool with wire brushes and then chrome polish with these polishing wheels. I must admit I'm using these far beyond what they were designed for, I'm sure. Fortunately there are several of each style, so I've been able to finish the project. They last much better on the 1st speed of the rotary tool. On high speed they easily come apart. They have been able to polish out the surface rust (after a bit of brushing with the brass wheels) and are doing a fair job on the pitted chrome pieces. That is the challenge - some pieces are pitted a lot with rough edges, which tends to tear at the polishing wheels. ... show more

These seem to be good products for a good price. My complaint is quality: Several items either don't seem to have the center hole or it is not well formed. This will make using them smoothly more difficult. Otherwise, they are just fine.

I use these to polish small parts with polishing compound, and like I said Dremel has discontinued the small packs of them that I used to buy at my local store. You can still find the big wheels in stores but they won't work for what I am doing so I so excited to find them here. This is a BIG DEAL so scoop them up if you can. ... show more

Nice little bag of plenty of cotton disks. Seller ships from across the seas but I ordered on July 20th received in on 26th - great delivery even though there was no detail tracking. One suggestion would be to use the metal bits that come with the set rather than the Dremel original bit since the screw tips are little larger and hold better. Single large disk (+ a dab of Flitz BU 03515 Blue Metal, Plastic and Fiberglass Polish Paste - 5.29 oz. polish) was barely used up to polish a 2 inch knife blade without problem or disk disintegrating. Knife went from stone washed to satin in 10 minutes. Items came in a soft plastic bag but you can use kitchen zip-lock sandwich bag and you are good to go. I was surprised at the number in this package. Feature: all different sizes of wheels; metal rods to use them - nice feature because I don't have to dig into my Dremel box to get the adapter for these polishing wheels. I used one to polish a plastic model airplane and with lite light pressure it did a fabulous job. I had to soften a wheel up before use as they are stiff new. Not too shabby. Thought these would unspool or just turn to mush. I was absolutely wrong. They have held up quite nicely. Fit perfectly in the Dremel and didn’t have to pay Dremel prices.
