Purpose for Product: Capacitor on AC unit was beginning to fail. Located this product made in the USA for a change. Product Inspection: Capacitor was very close to the original in dimensions. No obvious defects, dents, or poor craftsmanship visible. Product Performance: Installation is so easy and quick, wiring fit correctly and the capacitor fit in the existing support strapping perfectly, see photo. Put AC unit back online with quiet easy start and operated as good as new. Summary: This capacitor is advertised to be made in the USA and about twice the price of imports, and I was happy to pay that. Comes with a five-year warranty, hope I don't need to use it, but good to know its available. Note: My wife reported that the AC unit sounded more "pleasant" now, I'm good with that. UPDATE: Bought this product because it was made in the USA and paid twice the industry price thinking it would deliver quality. Installed on June 1, 2024 and it functioned as expected. UNTIL it didn't. I installed a new contacter at the same time and on August 3rd the unit refused to start and made noises as if the contacter was malfunctioning. I ordered a new different brand contacter and just to be on the safe side I ordered another Buck capacitor as a backup. Installed the new contacter that resulted in the same non start for the AC unit. I then installed the new Buck capacitor and the unit started and is still working, for now. I have since ordered another capacitor (different brand) as I expect the new Buck capacitor to fail. Cannot express how disappointed I am with this company and product. Could not find any customer service contact and the return date had expired. Apparently the five year warranty is useless.

Replaced a rusty capacitor that was on the way out. So far, we have been happy with the performance of this unit. Our AC seems to be running much more smoothly now as well. I see their website is under maintenance and hope to see more information about this company in the near term.

We purchased this because it was made in the USA. The quality standards are such that they must pass the proper testing to carry the standard markings listed. We bought this as an extra for the one that’s currently in the system, which is lasted more than years.

The ultimate verdict is how long they will last. Tested in spec, slightly low but about -3%. Fit easily as replacement to the original capacitor which lasted three years. Expecting more from these. Will see just how tough are Buck's.
