I have had these for months now and have had any issues with air leakage. They work great for my boys in my small car. My only thing I would change would be to add something to the bottom for grip so the don't slid around as much.

    • This BubbleBum Inflatable Car Seat Is Awesome!
While visiting family in Connecticut with my 5 year old grandson, I needed a car seat that we could carry on our flight without being cumbersome. This car seat worked perfectly! He was able to carry it himself, deflated in it’s drawstring bag, in his medium sized backpack! Once we landed and got our rental car, all I had to do was give a few breaths to inflate it & we were ready to go! I wouldn’t totally compare it to a regular car booster seat, because it isn’t quite as big, but he still had ample sitting space. I never had to add air to it for the 10 days it was used. It also deflates very easily, you just have to kind of roll it up to help get all the air out. Once it’s inflated, I would recommend holding your tongue on the valve as you twist it shut, because during the time it takes to move it to your fingers, you will lose a lot of air. At least that’s how it was for me. Maybe the manufacturer has a better approach that I’m unaware of. I highly recommend this car seat! It is made of a quality canvas material, with rigid styrofoam inside to maintain it’s shape and sturdiness when the child sits on it. Yet, it’s flexible enough to be rolled up to fit in the lightweight drawstring back that comes with it. ... show more

For short trips these have been awesome --my kids love being out of a carseat type--booster when traveling with other people on the fly. I'm grateful not to have to uninstall or move their regular car seat boosters. And, even blown up, they fit in a bag easily (like a reusable shopping bag from the grocery store). This seat does slide around on the car seat because it's slippery on the bottom. It was amazing for traveling, but they don't seem like the safest choice. We will only use them when we have to.
