  • Gift for son...
This is very beautiful and great for a beginner who just wants to test out their musical talent.

  • Not bad..
Sax was damaged during shipping, had to pay $100 to a local repair shop, didn't trust sending it back. Other than that the instrument plays great, the case though is trash, too much movement for the instrument another repair bill waiting to happen. Going to invest in a better case and a better mouthpiece. Why not just buy something more expensive? Because my daughter bought it for me for Christmas. Even if I do buy another one not getting rid of this one, sentimental like that. Overall, a good choice, even online influencers that have tested the sax say the same thing. ... show more

  • A damaged instrument
I received the sax and it was damaged at the octave key. I bought a brand new sax that's got to be repaired. I don't know where it happened but that's the way it was when I took it from the case.

  • Surprisingly Good, Good value for the money with some upgrades
I played sax when I was younger and wanted to play again for fun. I was really skeptical but for $250, it was a surprise. First thing - the mouthpiece is junk, the reeds that come with it are junk. Plan on spending about $30 on a new mouthpiece and a ligature for about $10 and some better reeds about $20. If you don't put the extra $60 or so into this sax, it will be miserable. Next, It may be a challenge to get it to tune properly. I was able to do it, but it takes a bit of skill. You may have to take it into a shop if you are not familiar with instruments. This runs about $100 I'm guessing, but you might be lucky and not need it. After that, the sax is much better to play and sounds better. Is it professional, no, but it's tone is surprising. So figure $250, plus maybe another $200 and you've got a soprano sax that is playable. In the scheme of things, you're into a new sax for under $500 that sounds good. Longevity ? Well will have to see. If you are a beginner, I'd suggest starting with an alto. If you have experience playing, this will be fun. ... show more

  • Muslady, is that you?
Q: Why is the summina soprano sax emblazoned with “Muslady” (no quotes)? A: Dunno. Q: Off center? A: Again, I’m gonna be of no assistance. Q: And why on earth did China feel the need to a etch a slapdash crown(?) or makeshift leaves(?) or a haphazard severed spine(?) around the wrong name? A: Look, I just don’t think I’m the one to supply your answers. That’s right, I have only questions, and lots of ‘em. But Muslady’s idiosyncrasies are actually endearing, and they sounds great. (No, not the idiosyncrasies. “They” are non-binary, doncha know.) So if you’re in the market for a soprano that looks like you found it at a flea market, right next to a child’s engraving kit, this is the one for you. Not mine, you understand, for I’m completely taken with it or them. You’ll need another mouthpiece. Muslady comes with the second worst excuse for one of all time. You’ll need reeds. You’ll need to sand down the huge blocks of cork around the necks. You’ll need cork grease. But that’s about it. And here’s hoping yours arrives with as much of a flourish as did mine! ... show more

  • Tuning
Great sax very easy to get notes out but it is horrid on the tuning aspect. From someone who is always in tune I can never get two notes to both be in tune on this horn.

  • Low quality
It's Looked nice, but clearly poor craftsmanship and quality control.
