I did not have huge asks. I have a two year old and a 5 year old; I did not want plastic water bottles no matter how high fanagled they were. So metal was my ask, as was a straw. We have been in a pandemic for 4 months. My main ask is I don’t want to have 6 dirty water cups, I want them to be metal, easy to drink with a straw and HARDY. My kids are both beasts. They leave these out in the backyard, they get left behind in hot strollers, they get tossed. So these BUBBA bottles meet my hardy requirements. Do they have a perfect seal. Nope, but that was not my top requirement. I want to give them their bottles at the beginning of the day and make sure they don’t sip plastic chemicals all day. I don’t really put juice or lemonade in these. Just water. They go everywhere; they are a nice size and did I mention they are dropped at least 10 times every day and don’t have a dent yet. Bubba has turned out to be my go to brand especially for children let’s face it kids lose things a lot. This is a great product keeps things super cold all day and is affordable. I definitely recommend you can’t go wrong with this brand.

Our son has used his Bubba Hero Sport for two months now and I feel confidently able to make a very informed assessment for a complete review of this product. Overall I score this a five out of five stars, with only one very minimal issue, that to most will matter very little. I'll start with the positives. First, this product works EXACTLY as described. It keeps liquids cold. PERIOD. Second, it does not leak a drop when the drink spout is in the closed position. Third, I believe is product to be just short of bomb proof, in the way of durability! Our son loves it (he's four) and has shown it off to many others. He is a great 'word of mouth' advertisement for the Bubba product line, as are his parents. We bought this to hang from a carabiner on e travel pack and for that, it works flawlessly. When on the carabiner, the spout naturally reverts to the proper closed position and cannot leak. It took us to actually place it inside the zippered pack, to realize when shifted around, it opens the spout and leaks. Since then, we no longer place it into the pack and it llways works exactly as expected! Also, it came with two straws! An added bonus that we did not expect! We have tried various water bottles so far and this one is my favorite. Insulated so it doesn't sweat and drinks stay cold, easy to clean/no stupid small parts to lose or get moldy, easy for my kid to use (mainly at school where there isn't a lot of time to grab the drink as it is, so the easy flip of the straw mouthpiece thing all the way up to drink is great), and rarely spills (the straw mouthpiece thing has to be all the way up in order for water to leak; even if my kid doesn't push the top part down all the way it's still okay). I do wish they made more colors so we could buy more and cycle them out. This bottle is a THOUSAND times better than the other one they make with the silicone sleeve that isn't insulated. That one is dumb.lol ... show more

New sippy for my son who will be 3 next month. Seems durable, came with 2nd back up straw. Spout is a little tough for him to flip open but do-able. Will update my review once durability really tested. Definately leaks though if spout left in open position, can't expect toddlers to close after every sip... Update 10 months later: very durable, takes a beating. Toddler easily opens/closes on his own, carries it easily by the loop feature. Keeps drinks cold for hours even when left in a hot car. My keys are on a carabiner, easily attaches to the loop for easy carrying while out at the playground and I don't bring a bag with me/no pockets. Blue coating has barely scratched. 1st straw still in great condition, def need to use a straw brush to clean it out, other wise it gets moldy, as will the inner threading and crevices inside the top and inside the water spout. No leaking at all when the spout is closed- toddler finally listens and knows to close it when not drinking it. ... show more

    • Straw was too short

This product actually had 2 problems. The straw was almost 1/4 inch shorter than a second one of these I already had. Luckily, I was able to use the 2nd straw from the other one because they send 2 straws. The other problem was that the air hole was clogged, but I used a thumbtack to open it up. I still had ice in it the next day, so the insulation seems adequate. The straw being too short is a big downgrade though since you need to open the top to get to all your drink. They sent 2 straws, and both were too short. ... show more

Love these! Ordered another after initial purchase. These are great for my almost 3 year old on hot summer days. Ice keeps form all day keeping water cold all day. If turned upside down, water does pour from straw. Not a big deal if your child understands not to turn upside down. Easy to clean.
