I bought this to basically keep the tight lines my barber does on my beard and hairline. I used it twice and absolutely loved it. I went on a snowboarding trip and wasnt thinking when i had it in my toiletries bag in my carry on. Made it to Colorado with no issues, then on the way back my shave butter and brand new straight razor was thrown away. I pleaded for the TSA to just throw the razor away only and he said all of it has to be thrown away. 😡 ... show more

First impression, it works as it should, it is a blade holder, if you cut yourself it is not the fault of the shaver, maybe the blades. I nicked myself the first time but it was my fault and the second time I used it I used Proraso Shaving Soap and didn't get a nick so the soap makes a difference too and the way you use the soap while shaving. Don't be afraid to keep the skin and beard soaped up and wet. The shavette feels heavy to me and I have to get use to that. I am used to using the light LORD throw away shavers. I don't like the fold up handle, but I will get use to that too. If you have never used one of these I would suggest practicing without the blade and to watch a few videos on YouTube but if I can use one then anyone can, just take you time.
