Description

The Jaboticaba Bonsai is a stunning Southern Brazilian beauty guaranteed to captivate audiences from Carnival to your living room. Jaboticaba Bonsai are upright, graceful trees that have glossy, dark-green foliage that comes in brushed with pink in the Spring. The bark is cinnamon colored and has a habit of slowly peeling off in curls, which adds to its already stunning visual impact. Mature Jaboticaba will flower and produce fruit all over its trunk and branches. The flowers are tiny and white and the fruit, which are round, dark and resemble small grapes, can be eaten fresh or made into jams or wine (they’re called Brazilian Grapes in case anyone asks). Comes with Humidity tray and decorative rocks to counteract the effects of indoor dryness and outdoor windiness. Excess water collects in the tray and slowly evaporates; increasing the humidity around the tree and improving the growing environment. Your bonsai tree thrives while windowsills stay dry and debris-free. A tray can also be used outdoors to improve conditions in dry or windy sites. Each live plant is shipped with the Phytosanitary Certificate as required by the USDA.

Came in great shape (minor brown tips which is super common and not a concern w this species). Very lush/ healthy and dense foliage. The pot is also surprisingly nice glazed pottery. If you're into tropicals I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Yes it does look like a small tree but not as pictured. It has what I call 2 sucker stems coming from the base of the tree, questioned them about being a true! Bonsai and never got a response.

I so love this plant. She was delivered in perfect condition. I have her about two weeks and I think I lost two leaves. She is healthy and beautiful. This plant has adjusted well under my plant lights as does my other Bonsai’s. I look forward to having her for many years. The pot she came in is pretty and it came with a humidity tray. I have bought other Bonsai from this grower and delivered from Amazon. The tree arrived right on schedule; the packing was wonderful. why only 4 Stars? I set the pot on the counter to remove the covering one was cracked, the more I unwrapped a piece was broken off, then I noticed one side was in TWO PIECES. I was very lucky I had a pot about the same size and so I was able to repot the tree. I would like to know how this got past the person wrapped up the pot like a MUMMY. I have ordered about 10 other trees from various venters and this was the first time I received a BROKEN POT. ... show more

I was so excited to get this tree- it came in July 18th and while it was well packaged, the tree was very stressed and many leaves were brown and dying. Despite my best efforts to care for it, it just kept dying off more and more. I reached out to Brussels bonsai a month later when I had given up hope and even though it was past the return date, they sent me a replacement right away! The replacement came in perfect healthy condition and a week later it is happy with new growth! I think it may even be an older tree as the truck and branches are thicker than the first.
