Flew this thing for 15 minutes then it went straight up in the sky, disappeared and is never to be seen again. That was terrible. No idea where it went. Lost the whole thing. Took longer to open then i used it for. That went well......

So, for $90 I wasn't expecting much, but I wanted to get some closeups of a few bits of my roof that, uh, I'm afraid to climb up on.. In theory this drone would have worked, and still might but it's really not able to handle wind of any significant speed so I can only fly it in the evening when the wind is still. Otherwise I'm fighting to keep it from getting blown away. The camera is middling at best, definitely not what I would call 4k, but should be able to see what I'm looking for if it didn't have another serious flaw. Which is that the wifi range appears to only be a couple hundred feet before the video starts dropping frames and freezing. Now that's all the negatives, in calm weather it flys quite well, and can even survive running in vegetation and the like without breaking. All the basic controls are there for flying it in a heading or absolute directions, and the batteries it comes with are plenty long for a bit of flying around the yards/etc. it has some more advanced following and camera controls that are functional but nothing to write home about. It comes with everything you need except for a phone to display the video and some aa batteries for the controller. ... show more
