I bought this polisher because I had a pretty embarrassing situation coming up. I was helping prepare my car for an important conference event, and after a long winter the paint looked terrible in direct sunlight — swirl marks, dull spots, light scratches around the doors, and oxidation on the hood. Under normal light it didn’t look that bad, but once the sun hit it, every flaw showed up. At first I considered paying a detailing shop, but after getting quotes, I honestly couldn’t justify the price. Since I already own several DeWalt 20V batteries, I decided to try this tool-only polisher instead, hoping it would at least make the car look a little better. The first surprise was how easy it was to set up. Snap in the battery, attach the pad, and it was ready. No cords dragging across the driveway, no extension cables, no fighting for outlet space. That cordless design ended up being way more useful than I expected because I could move around the whole vehicle freely without stopping every few minutes. I started on the hood because it was the worst area. Honestly, I was nervous because I’m not a professional detailer, and I’ve always heard horror stories about people burning paint with polishers. But the dual-action movement made it feel much safer and easier to control. The machine stayed smooth instead of jumping around aggressively. What really impressed me was the power. This thing actually works. After a few passes, the paint already looked deeper and clearer. The dull haze started disappearing, and the swirl marks became dramatically less noticeable. By the time I finished one side of the hood, there was a very obvious difference between the corrected side and the untouched side. The 15mm orbit also saved me a ton of time. I borrowed a smaller polisher once before, and it felt painfully slow on larger panels. This one covers a much bigger area with each pass, so polishing the entire SUV didn’t feel endless. Another thing I appreciated was how comfortable the machine feels during longer use. I spent several hours working on the car, and my arms honestly would have been destroyed with a heavier or poorly balanced machine. The extended handle and side grip helped a lot with control and fatigue. The included pads were also more useful than I expected. I thought they’d just be cheap extras, but having different pads for cutting, polishing, and finishing actually helped me learn the process better. I didn’t need to immediately order additional accessories just to get started. By the end of the day, the car genuinely looked refreshed. It wasn’t some fake “internet miracle” transformation, but it looked dramatically cleaner, glossier, and more cared for. Even a friend who normally never notices car details asked if I had gotten it professionally detailed. One important thing though: people really need to read the listing carefully. This is TOOL ONLY. No battery or charger included. For me, that was perfect because I already use DeWalt tools, so I saved money by using batteries I already had. But if you’re completely new to the DeWalt system, you’ll need to buy those separately. Overall, this turned out to be one of those purchases that actually solved a real problem instead of creating another one. Easy to use, powerful enough to make a visible difference, and convenient enough that I’ll probably keep using it regularly instead of letting it sit in the garage collecting dust.

Great car buffer polisher! The machine is powerful yet easy to control, even for beginners. It runs smoothly with very little vibration, making the whole polishing process much easier and more comfortable. It did an amazing job removing light scratches and bringing back a deep shine to my car. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the speed settings are very useful for different tasks.

I really like this Brushless Cordless Car Buffer. It takes my Dewalt batteries perfectly, and they fit in easily without any fuss. The tool is also well built, and is a great value compared to the OEM DeWalt tool. I'm very pleased with this. Maybe it isn't a full pro-level tool, but it's ideal for the household user, hobbyist, or travel trailer owner doing their maintenance. It is really easy to use and has a sturdy feel in the hand. You can easily control the speed, and it isn't too heavy, although that ultimately depends on the battery size you use. I will say, I like how versatile the handles are (or you can just use it without a handle). The main thing I want to convey to the public here is the pad and backplate (baseplate) size. They are BOTH 5 inches here. Typically, you want your pads to be about 1/2-inch larger than the backing plate. Most pros use a 5-inch backing plate with 5.5-inch pads for their daily driver tools because it is such a versatile set-up that works in the majority of cases. Yes, there are larger, and yes, even smaller ones. However, this is the goldilocks size. I have multiple 5.5-inch pads already from a prior device, and didn't want to go buy a bunch more new ones for a new tool. Most of these DeWalt battery-ready aftermarket tools have a 6-inch plate, which is a total no-go with a 5.5-inch pad. You'll scratch the heck out of your car. This is the size you want right here if that's you. Also, the motor is brushless in this one, which most of the cheaper ones don't have. This means the motor will last longer and so will the battery. I like this tool and am pleased with the purchase!

This cordless polisher works perfectly for my car and is easy to handle, released my hand saved me lots time. Dewalt battery works great for this polisher. Comes with all types pads can use for different kinds polish and removing paint defects or waxing. Come with 4 different speeds control for waxing and buffer, heavy weight can applying waxing oil with less pressure. I’m happy with that

the portability of it is great and not having to drag a wire around is wonderful. the downfall is that it eats batteries. two cars went through 2.5 20volt 5amh batteries.

It is a solid aftermarket product which uses the DeWalt 20 V battery system. I highly recommend that you use a larger amperage battery for best results, like the 60 amp battery. Maybe on the heavy side, but I found it useful to let it own weight through the work quality seems to be fairly good.

This polisher is as good or better in some ways as other name brand that i've used including cordless flex/rupes. Well balanced and hardly any vibration even at high speed. Note this a RANDOM ORBIT polisher not a forced rotation, which is what i wanted and think is better for applying wax, aoi sealants and compound with the right micro fiber pad. It keeps rotating even at low speed compared to portercable which i still use sometimes, stalls out. Also quieter than forced which i think are useless an cater to ytbers new to the game that dont know how to correct paint vs people that actually do this professionally. they like to talk about detailing for for likes and subscribes. Can use it like a rotary for fiberglass boats at higher speed with a quality wool or microfiber pad. Other cordless are all forced rotation 15or21mm rup/dewl/flex, makit is both. Used with 9ah dewalt worked great.pads are ok but with quality pads work even better meg/lakecontry. good weight not too heavy. note, i never leave reviews. great tool hope this helps someone out.
