My red Bruntmor dinner plates arrived on time, excellently packed by the manufacturer for shipment, so much better than my Le Tauci red bowls were two weeks ago. Even the box they were in was thick and sturdy. It's obvious this manufacturer cares about their product. No chips, no scratches, matte finish, just as described. They are 10 and 1/8 inches outer edge to outer edge, with virtually all of that being serving surface. There are no wide edges around these plates to allow food to fall off during dinner, as so many round "china" dinner plates have. These plates are h-e-a-v-y! They are solid, large, weighty plates that will have to go on a lower shelf for me - because I'm short! - but will serve my Mexican and other meals beautifully. I've not tried them in the oven yet, but really don't expect to use them that way. There was a disclaimer note about overheating them in the guarantee card enclosed in the box. They are lead-free, microwave, and dishwasher safe. I'm thrilled with this purchase. ... show more

This order contained 4 plates--exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, prior to glazing one plate had white flecks that must have adhered to the plate. These white spots can not be removed without damaging the plate. Advise you to check all the plates carefully immediately after purchase otherwise you'll be stuck with a damaged plate. ... show more

I'm going to admit up front that I am a total sucker for bright solid colors like this. My grandmother had a set of plates in bright colors like this, in the more traditional shape, so I initially bought these *exclusively* because of nostalgia. But it turns out, they were a wise purchase; they're very nice plates. The colors are as bright and beautiful as they look, and they seem to be quite durable thus far. The lip on each one is large enough to keep the food on the plate and while I would have preferred a more "retro" look with a flat lip, what's there is quite nice. I'm actually really digging the square style, too, I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it turns out that it's actually quite pleasant to use.     • The 4 and 6 sets are different plates
The plates look and feel nice and they were packaged great. The problem is that I wanted 10 plates. So I ordered one set of 4 and one set of 6. They don’t match. Besides the shape difference, the set of 6 are thinner and lighter. And corners are more rounded, so there is less usable space. I don’t think the difference was clear enough in the photos. And they shouldn’t be sold on the same page as if it’s different quantities of the same item. ... show more
