I love everything about this cup, It is beautiful, the handle makes it easy to hold specially when my hands are full going to work. With this cup I am able to have a beautiful peace of art on my desk and warm coffee It keeps coffee warm for about 3 hours. The material is easy to clean and the same material makes it easy to grip the cup as well. I have dropped this cup several times and it came out chip free. I have an older cup called a Pint.. I will say that cups outer coating is thicker and it stays hotter longer than this cup and the material is a little easier to hold ontobecause it is thicker. The differences are minor for sure,.. it is noticeable to me because I drop things often and stress about dropping things. This cup has reduced my stress quite a bit because it is sturdy. If I drop this cup my coffee or drink is not going to go flying out of the cup because it honestly spill proof if the cap is locked properly.

So This is not my first Brumate. The one thing that stands out above all the other generic tumblers out there is that these are 100% leak proof. (So long as you remember to close it) I have gotten into the habit of closing and locking the lid after every drink. My first one I am sad to say, I dropped it while washing it, and it dented the bottom corner of the mug so it wouldn't sit flat and it wobbled. This was my replacement. These cups are kinda top heavy, (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars) but the air tight seal makes up for that, and they do fit in cup holders without an adapter. They are fairly easy to clean. If you keep the top closed, the drink stays warm longer. I use it for Coffee. The last part is just a warning. The lid needs to be open when you screw it on. This lets the air escape. If you don't open it, it acts like forcing an upside down cup into a bowl of water that is already almost full. All the liquid will over flow out the sides of the lid and make a huge mess. So long as the lid is open when you screw it on, you can fill it past the threads, almost to the top. I leave 1/4 inch or so from the top. It gives me a few extra sips of coffee.

This cup by far exceeds all cups out there for drinking out of. The selling point is the ability to seal it completely without any spills (just make sure you don't have water left in the top of the straw but even that isn't a spill). The cup does its job and exceeds at it. It is heavier than some cups it's size but you have that to be expected since it has more to it to keep your liquid from leaking. The way the cup is built it fits into car cup holders without any issue. You can also take the cup apart and clean it relatively easy (just get you a straw cleaner for the tight spots.) I would only have one suggestion and that is DO NOT pay extra for a pretty color. The color does chip away EASILY resulting in a chipped color however, that being said I would STILL purchase this brand OVER ANY OTHER BRAND on the market. If you seriously want one of those customizable tumblers. It would be worth the money to purchase this brand on Amazon, their website, or even secondhand (should the seal be intact and working) and just have the person sand it and epoxy to the design with no damage to the ability of the cup holding the liquid. I want to also express that due to its good seal up top, the cup also keeps liquid cold and hot VERY well. I am not sure how Stanley Cups got to the top when Brumate exceeds them by FAR.

This mug truly is leakproof. The locking mechanism on the lid is extremely solid - the top folds down, plugging the spot you drink from and then a plastic piece slides forward, interlocking with the lid to keep everything closed. The lid has a gasket and screws on in either direction (so you can hold the handle with your right or left hand and drink). I've literally held this upside down and had no issues. I love that it has a higher capacity than other portable mugs I've owned as well. The shape of the mug is really nice too - if my coffee is too warm, the larger diameter at the top of the mug allows the liquid to cool faster if I leave the lid off for a bit. I haven't evaluated how long it keeps things warm, but I haven't observed any issues.

As stated in the headline/title, this cup is okay. My friend told me that the heat and cold retention works great! The feel of the texture of the cup is nice. However, the lid is a pain to remove and get on. Also he told me that the lid takes several attempts to get it lined up with the handle, so that you can use your right or left hand to drink through the hole that opens up on the lid. For that reason, he doesn't like the cup as much. I understand where he is coming from, and quite frankly I didn't think that would be a concern. The positive point to share is that the cup is leak proof after you struggle to get it on tight. So if that's what you're looking for, a 100% leak proof cup, then this is the one for you!
