I also have their tumbler with the metal straw, and both are easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and the color never fades. This mug keeps my coffee hot, looks beautiful, and feels great in my hand. Everyone should have one — it’s that good.

I love almost everything about this mug: It’s sleek form that fits snugly between my palms; its beautiful, rich color; its ability to keep my tea hot all day so I can drink from morning to evening; its ease of cleaning are all great attributes. The mug cleans up well, leaving no trace odor or taste of what was inside it for days at a time. It’s one fault: the lid. It’s not immediately clear it’s a snap on lid. Clearly labeling it could have made the difference between immediate enjoyment and 2 weeks frustratingly trying to twist it off. The snap that seals the drinking port didn’t last more than a month but was still usable as it broke off in a functional place just where it joins the lid. After over a year of use, I will purchase another so I can have the spill proof benefit. If the seal snaps again I will have to give up on this mug that seems to caress my lips as I sip. The lid is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.

I would give this mug five stars because it is almost perfect in every way. The insulation is great and the locking lid and mouthpiece are completely leak proof. The design is very convenient and the warranty policy is amazing. The one issue is a design flaw with the locking slider. The lid has a small slider that locks and unlocks the mouthpiece. It works by having two small pegs on the slider that fit under a track. When everything is lined up it locks and unlocks perfectly. The problem is the slider can get slightly out of alignment even when it feels locked or unlocked. You can slide it without looking and it will click like it is in the right position, but the pegs might not be perfectly lined up. If you try to open the mouthpiece while it is misaligned it scrapes and damages the pegs. If you close the lid while it is misaligned it also grinds the pegs. Over time this wears them down and eventually they will break. My first lid was worn down within a week. Customer service replaced it quickly which I appreciate. My second lid has lasted longer because I have been very careful, but even then it sometimes catches and is already starting to wear. This could easily be the best mug I have ever owned. It is just frustrating to have to visually check the alignment of the slider every single time I open or close the lid even when the slider is already in the locked or unlocked position.

I like to consider myself an unofficial coffee cup connoisseur. Pretty much my staple accessory. I wanted to love this. I wanted to love this so bad. So much so I’ve now owned 3 of these and each were just ok..not great. I’m going to start with the pros it WILL NEVER LEAK! 6/5 stars. I honestly trust it in a bag with my MacBook and work documents which I’ve NEVER trusted anything like that before, this was the main selling point for me hints buying so many. My coworker has this and recommended it bc of how often I spill my drinks. I am a queen of spilling my coffee, daily. It’s not even a question of if, it’s a matter of when. Great size, it fits the largest size Keurig pod with a little room for cream. Not super heavy which is nice but the handle does slide slightly as I’m holding it. the brumate does actually have grip tho. It’s made of what feels like silicone on the inside of the handle to prevent that slipping.I think if I had a bigger hand or a mans Hand I wouldn’t slip AT ALL. but my small hand still does, but only a little slip. If I rated the handle I’d say 4/5 stars bc the fact they even thought about slipping shows me that brumate really put a lot of effort and care into the design of this product. Cons- good luck opening it. I’ve had two break at exactly the same spot and I truthfully believe that it’s a design flaw. at first, I thought it was due to potentially heat exposure because the only plastic piece is the locking plastic piece of the lid And that’s what’s broke 2 separate times for me. Again, I thought it was simply because of it being constantly used with hot and cold temperatures. So when I repurchased it and the new one broke almost immediately, I was super disappointed and realized yeah it’s definitely just a design flaw. The lid is so hard to open that truthfully the only way to open it is to apply pressure with the locking mechanism to turn it. I think that’s what ends up breaking the plastic. Because it can’t just be wear and tear after only a couple uses. And I’m not being aggressive when turning the lid to unlock it. I’m just slowly turning. But the lid is such a tight lock and lid. If you’re someone who maybe can get this open without touching the plastic lid this will be great for you. I’m decently strong for a young 30 year old female, so I can’t imagine someone elderly or disabled being able to use/open this. There have been times I have left the lid on and held it just right so the coffee flows through the opening in the lid bc I can’t get it open. Pro-Really easy to clean. Not a lot of pieces to pull apart. Con- Keeps thing hot but not for a long time. I can make a fresh hot cup and Immediately close the lid and within a couple hours, it’s maybe room temperature. Which is crazy for me for a cup that is nearly $40. I don’t wanna mention other brands but again as a coffee cup connoisseur I have off brand cups that stay hot longer. I’ve even tried heating the cup under hot water before adding coffee to see if that makes a difference and I don’t believe it made much of one.
