I've seen some negative reviews for this, posted based on how long it takes to get this item. First of all, it does show that it usually takes about two weeks to ship, it gives you the estimate when you buy it. And its always somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks. I was told that they make each order from scratch, which is why it takes so long. So yeah, it DOES take awhile to get it, and if you're in a hurry or not willing to wait, then this stuff is not for you. That's the only down side I found. But if you CAN wait, and are patient, and love bacon. Then I really don't know how else to put it, other than this is some of the best bacon I've ever tasted. This isn't just food, it's a delicacy. What they say about the perfect marriage of sweet and salty is so very true. Its true you only get six pieces. Which makes the total price and more than a dollar per piece of bacon. It's WORTH it. Like some other reviewers, it didn't last long. We ordered six bags and it didn't last a day. My family and I devoured it. It is like melt in your mouth savory and sweet and wonderful. I've now ordered twice, and the second order was 10 bags. LOL Overall, despite the long shipping time, its well worth the wait. I've never tasted better candied bacon. If you're a bacon lover, or love getting maple syrup on your bacon, then this product is for you. It doesn't have an overwhelming maple taste, its just right. Perfect. Give it a try, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks!

Probably my saddest bacon experience ever. I love bacon. I have had a lot of mediocre bacon. Hotel bacon. Precooked bacon. Bacon from a can. Bacon from a bag. Questionable bacon. Sad restaurant bacon...but I have never been as disappointed by a bacon as I have by this one. One of my favorite podcasts rapsodised wildly about this product so I had high hopes for it. It certainly looks delicious in the picture, all dark golden brown. Glazed to a perfect caramelized deliciosness. Look at how proudly they stand up in their homey glass jars. This is a bacon that does a pig proud. That is not what arrived by along shot. What arrived was thickish slabs of limp pig. In fact the only way that I could have gotten what arrived to look like that picture was by backing it with plywood and shellacking the whole thing in 5-6 coats of varnish. The product that arrived was unpleasantly greasy with sugar crystals that might have seen an oven long enough to be terrified into staying put on the slick surface. The entire inside of the bag felt like it had been used by a grease elemental as a sauna. The bacon was flabby. One entire slice was essentially inedible because it was simply one long strip of undercooked fat. No meat just fat. Had I chosen to I could have likely squeezed enough grease out of it to fry an entire pan of potatoes and likely an egg or three. There is absolutely no excuse for a pig to suffer for this product.

1st of all the photos on Amazon look amazing. What was sent was totally different..looks like limp uncooked bacon. Flimsy gelatinous not crispy bacon that caramelized and "candy" Definitely not what I expected. Can't return it because it's food. Taste good. Texture is gross. I am going to re cook it.. might help. You really should post realistic pictures. You should also resend a batch to me that is actually what you advertised ... I would update the review if it actually delivered as how it is represented. Disappointed I feel bad giving you this review... I know this is your business... I wish you would have been more accurate in your description.

Oh my gosh that picture does really mislead you on how many pieces of jerky there are the flavor is not that great in fact I just really didn’t like it at all. I can’t believe I paid $15 not worth it not very good sorry but I really hated it
