Searching for a comfortable shoe with good support, I tried on many sneakers across different brands. I immediately knew that the Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 was the right one for me. I really like the extra cushion and arch support. The toe box is roomier than the other shoes I tried. My normal shoe size is a women's 7.5, but I normally wear a size 8 sneaker. Researching the correct size because different brands of athletic shoes are not all the same, I found a site that will make a recommendation based on the size of a person's athletic shoe size from other brands. I am a Nurse. I walk/speed walk/run over 12 hours on my feet. I needed a really good shoe to hold up so I didn't feel like I was crippled by the end of my day. Brooks was highly recommended by other nurses to try. I have found my shoes!!! The first day I wore them it wamas a grueling day of 16 hours and my feet/knees/hips didn't hurt!! The second day by the end of my shift my feet still didn't hurt like they did with other brands, what a relief to not have crippling painful feet/knees or hips. I also highly recommend you go to brooks website. They have a fit finder so you get the right fit for your shoes. I normally wear a size 8 in shoes, their recommendation for their shoes was a size 9. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn while working on my feet all day. I highly recommend this brand. ... show more

I have been wearing Brooks Glycerins’ for several years now. The large toe box is perfection my foot does not slip but toe box gives plenty of room for my aching toe joints. The cushioning is excellent for my tired older feet:)

    • Not good for arthritic knees!
The shoe was very comfortable. However, it curves at the toe box and when you walk, it makes you feel like you are going to rock forward and lose your balance. This comment is coming from an individual who has arthritis in both knees, with one replacement surgery. My ortho told me to wear running shoes only. I researched a great deal before I decided on these because these were $160.00. I returned them because I did not feel that I could safely walk in them because of how they curve up in the toe box. ... show more

I am 68 and jog 5-8 miles a day. These shoes are so comfortable, and have a wide toe box and great support and good cushioning for feet that were abused for decades with high heels and fashion footwear.
