The title may mislead some of you if you're not runners. You can put about 10-15 miles a day on these for about 3-6 months and they will hold up with the same level of support as though they are new. They break in fairly well with little pinching, and on top of that, they maintain and don't change the pressure on your feet with consistent form. Do not get them wet, do not stain them because they do not wash out well. Aside from that, they are great all around, and I have a neutral gait and form, so I don't need to worry too much. If you are new to running have someone who knows running form watch you run in different shoes, so they can determine how straight you run, you can't do this without help, but get it, otherwise, you will create imbalances and get tired a lot quicker, and overall have a bad experience running. A lot of new runners buy based on looks and not on correcting or improving their form, it will cause short and long term problems. Ghosts sound cool but they are for neutral runners, who don't roll in or out too much, if that's not you, do not buy them, Brooks makes other shoes that look similar, find out first and then buy online if it's cheaper. Also, gait and form can change, so do not assume because you were neutral at 20 or 30 that you are now. Running is a hobby or a sport, you have to replace running shoes when they lose support, about every 3-6 months, you do this because if you don't it creates imbalances in your form, and then you need help, and if you let it go too long, you need surgeries and maybe can't run anymore because of the damage.

Right outta the box on my front porch, I met the Amazon driver, took the shoes outta the box and started walking. They were comfortable from the first step. The fit was perfect. The support was great at all points of the shoe. I felt like I was walking on air, but not disconnected from the ground. The mesh at the toe of the shoe is comfortable. I purchased them for a walking shoe for distances of 1 to 2 miles at a time. After wearing them I find myself putting them on to go everywhere! After the first day, I purchased my wife a pair. The second day, I bought 3 more pair! I'm not a long distance runner, but I average about 8k steps a day. I find that I'm not as fatigued. I also have MS and my balance is off sometimes. I now feel extremely sure on my feet. A+++++++++

I ordered these for my husband strictly for running as his Nikes were down for the count lol. He runs a lot (we’re military) and he needs something with more support. He was AMAZED by these, to say the least. They really do support his feet and make running a lot smoother for him. They’re very light and give a “bounce” in his step (he says). We’re very happy with these shoes for the support they provide, the cushion and comfort, and quality made. He wears a size 10 and it fit him perfectly.

This is my fourth pair of Ghost 14s (size 10.5 M), which I wear primarily for running. The 15s are on the market now, so I'm not sure how much longer these will be available. Buy them while you can! I wear custom orthotics and a rolling running stride. I like shoes that are middle-of-the-road padded -- not maximal (Hokas would send me to urgent care) or minimal (what are you, nuts?) -- and that securely hold my heels in place. My orthotics add a little to heel height so my feet sit a little higher in the shoes. These are the best model I've come across in a long time. My only issue relates to the materials: Brooks (for me at least) has long had issues with matching the flexibility of fabrics of different colors, and this shoe seems to be no exception. I have one pair in the yellow (as seen here) and three in a blue-black. The yellow material is noticeably stiffer, and it takes a few minutes longer to get used to that feel. Not a major concern, but if and when I get more I'll stick with the blue-black.

This is my second pair of Ghost 14s. The 15 is coming out, so the price has dropped, but not enough at the Brooks site. They also had limited sizing & colors. Then I found this listing. I was looking for the men's 9.5 XX wide, but this X wide worked out. This is a great shoe. Before I bought my first pair, my foot hurt so bad at the end of my work shift that I could barely walk out the door. After wearing the Ghost for a while, my feet stopped hurting so much--especially the heel pain & burning on my soles. I bought this pair so I'd had one for work & one for home. I don't use these for exercise or workouts, just for walking at work where I'm on my feet most of my shift. The give me a little bounce in my step, too. These came in their box, brand new, great shape. No complaints from me!

I've been getting a pair of the last year's Ghosts each year now for a few years when they can be found on sale after the new model drops. These are a bit heavier than the previous model, but veryuch more comfortable. The heel collar & tongue are generously cushioned and the material is not as slick as the more meshy 12s & 13s, which helps keep everything snugly in place when worn. Yeah, so, the flat laces... No need to go away from the outstanding semi stretchy oval laces from the older models, but they did. The new strappy flat laces stay cinched, fine, but if I could build a Brooks shoe, I would always opt for the oval laces (esp. the longer, stretchier laces from the 12s). That said, the plush, secure feel around the ankle/upper and outstanding cushion under the footbed¹ more than make up for a different shapes lace. Fair trade. I honestly thought that the 13s were a slight downgrade from the 12s, but that these 14s are a solid upgrade fusing the best from both of those models. These Ghosts are well worth the price. I'd entertain another pair TBH. ¹the cusioning, while a bit heavy, is very, very comfortable underfoot. It is soft but supportive, so there is no fatigue after long hours on foot or walking/running. Unlike Boost which is very soft, a bit overly so, and feels great when you first put them on but as the hours/steps pile up, the fatigue can set in bc the feet are overly cushioned and not adequately supported for physical activity. Also, my seller got me my Ghosts incredibly fast for a non-Prime order. Good on them and a great buy for me. I highly recommend the Brooks Ghost 14s
