I was in the market for a way to use an Xbox style controller with hall effect sensors on my PS5. Trying a third party controller designed for the PS5 had too much input latency, worse than the OEM PlayStation dual sense controller. Not to mention the subpar build quality. And I'm using an MSI QD-OLEDmonitor with an HDMI 2.1 cable with my PS5 with all the appropriate settings enabled. This Adapter, (granted it is wired, though I usually play with a wired connection anyway.) has virtually the same input latency as using an OEM Playstation controller. And works with the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro that I usually use for my PC. Overall, Amazing product! And I would definitely recommend this to anyone else who'd prefer any other controller over the standard PlayStation 5 one.

I have a fightstick that only works on pc and PS4 but with this it worked well on PS5 but I bought this so I can use my xbox elite 2 controller on my PS5 and it does the job. I like it

The PS5 Dualsense is a great controller in many ways, but it often suffers from stick drift, the battery life is terrible, and it's expensive. There are a ton of great third party controllers that are cheaper, better, or just cater to different preferences. Except you can't use any of them, save for the Dualsense and a few overpriced "pro" controllers, because Sony says so. Until now! I'm using this adapter with a Flydigi Vader 4 Pro on the PS5 and it works great, despite that controller not appearing on Brook's list of officially supported controllers. With the V4P's USB dongle it effectively becomes a wireless PS5 controller, with buttons seemlessly mapped to their logical Dualsense counterparts (even the touchpad button and the PS home button!). The "Share" button doesn't seem to work, but I never use that anyway, and it might be possible to configure it with the free software (I haven't tried). I can't speak to longevity or reliability yet, but after a few days of use I have no complaints.

I was hesitant to buy this, as I wasn't sure if it would work for my needs. I had read various reports online saying it did work, it didn't work, so I wasn't sure. But I bought it hoping to use an older controller with the PS5, and to my excitement, it [mostly] does work! Unfortunately, the controller I'm using will randomly disconnect with the adapter flashing red and blue momentarily, but it is not officially on the supported controller list, and as stated it's older, so I can't get too upset. The fact that a gamepad that was manufactured before the PS5 existed even works a little bit is a great achievement! Not only that, but to my absolute surprise, it even works with the Switch exclusive Hori Mario Kart steering wheel! I absolutely didn't expect it to work, but I was blown away playing Gran Turismo Sport with a Mario Kart steering wheel and pedals! That wheel had zero connectivity with the PS5 prior, and thus far using the wheel with the adapter has not faced the same connectivity issues as the aforementioned controller! I can't speak on how good it is for fighting tournaments, as I'm not involved with those. I just bought it to casually play retro games with a retro-inspired controller, and I'm very happy with the results!

If the star rating system was in decimal format I would give this an actual rating of 4.7. The reason it's a 5 is because despite is minor flaw, it still delivers on it's promise and that's all I want. The minor flaw is that if you connect any controller to it and connect to PS5, depending on the controller you're using, you may notice latency or button input lag. In my testing I used a hautepad42 arcade stick and just basically switched between different set ups and see which had a faster response. Xbox controllers are probably the best to use with this. Sony controllers are fine but be wary this is where the minor flaw originated. Switch Pro controllers are also fine. If not probably better than Xbox controllers. When it works tho it's amazing. The ability to play any controller (in my case a stick) on any ps5 game is all I ever wanted. Worth the buy if that's what you want to do.

I’ve had this product for over a month, and I can confidently say that this garbage hunk of plastic does not work, and yes, I’ve updated it. In fact, I’ve updated it with my MacBook and a Windows PC to no effect about four times. I tried to use this product to make my fight stick compatible with my PlayStation 5, and it disconnects (seemingly at random) constantly. I have the recommended firmware installed for both my fight stick and the converter (this product). At first, I thought maybe it was an issue with my fight stick, although it says it’s one of the compatible devices in the converter’s provided list. But recently, I tried to hook up something as simple as a PlayStation 4 controller, and even that disconnects after a while. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with my purchase, as this is not a cheap product. Rest assured I will not be purchasing any more from this company, and I advise other consumers to do the same.
