I had been looking for an air cleaner for a long time. What kept me from pulling the trigger on other ones was the generally high prices, combined with some terrible negative reviews. Then I stumbled across the Brondell Horizon. It had such a great price considering the size and capacity to clean a larger area. It didn’t have many reviews though. There were no truly negative ones though, and I decided to purchase. I wanted an air cleaner specifically for the master Bedroom in an older house, which sits directly above the kitchen. The bedroom seems to hold the smells from cooking. Also, we like to keep the bedroom closed while we sleep so our 2 cats don’t keep us up at night while they rampage around the house during crazy kitty hour. By morning the bedroom was sometimes “stale” due keeping the door closed all night. This air cleaner has taken care of the food smells, as well as the stale air in the morning. We actually prefer the medium fan setting. It provides the perfect level of white noise to help us fall asleep. The only drawback is that the led lights for the “fan speed” are a bit bright. There is a sleep mode which works great (turns fan to low and basically turns off the led lights) but for us, we prefer the sound of the medium speed. As a remedy, I purchased a sheet of led light-dimming stickers, and placed one over the fan speed lights. That did the trick for us... medium fan with low lights. Another benefit of this unit is the multi-layer filter. It seems substantial. I also like that it’s an all-in-one filter. Rather than buying multiple filters to replace, there’s just one. Lastly, the ionizer leaves a fresh clean smell in the air by morning. It’s not a fragrance... it’s just fresh air, and is similar to leaving your window open all night after a rainstorm. It’s just clean smelling air, with no staleness. I would definitely recommend this air cleaner, and may buy the largest size for the main area of our house. ... show more

After setting this up in our master bedroom hallway, it’s going to stay there. It’s nearly silent, the air is odor-free even though our dog sleeps 3 feet from the unit, and seems like all pollen and dust are gone. The build quality is excellent. And the controls are intuitive and complete. And automatic speed adjustment in response to air quality works perfectly. My only wish is that the plasma mode stay activated after turning the unit off and back on — just like all the other settings. (And of course the Brondell Pro would be even better if the price were lower!) ... show more

Didn’t make a different in air quality. Same amount of dust particles floating. Can only use it on speed 1 due to the high noise level. Love the brondell bidet seats and water filters but this was disappointing.

I have tried and trialed the very many air purifiers out there. I order and have used a Dyson Hot + Cool Fan Purifier and have to say, it's a real luxury item that is mean to enhance your "Air Experience" rather than deal with the actual quality of your air. I give that machine 4 out of 10. THIS MACHINE, HOWEVER, actually seems to be pretty good at filtering the air in a small room. This product was easy to set up and put to use. I've had it for a week or two now. The Purifier sounds like a fan is on (white noise) which is nice to sleep with and it's also keeps the room air flowing.
