Updated Jan 8, 2025 adding the details about the lights and remotes. To start these lights are not difficult to put on the tree if you do a couple things. One, make it a 2 person job. Two, rather than holding the spool and unwrapping the wire or pulling the wire free; instead, unroll the spool releasing the cord and lightly run the lights thru your fist to take the bends out of the wire. If you unwrap by holding the light wire and untwisting it from around the spool, all the bends will coil rather than straightening out. Took us ~30 mins to put 2 strands on a 6ft tree. BTW we started at the top with one strand and went all the way to the bottom. Then we started at the bottom with the second strand and went to the top. Covers this 6ft tree well. perfect number of lights. (NOTE each strand has its own remote and “receiver” at the end of the cord where the plug is. The frequencies are the same for both. So you only need 1 remote; meaning you have a backup. However this does mean that if you’re across the room and the receivers are close together, then setting each strand to your own custom color can be a pain as Both pick up the signal. Mine are on opposite sides of the tree and still plug into the same place but even then i sometimes have to got over and point the remote at each strand receiver separately. Just something to note. It also will change modes, color combos etc when using various other living room remotes. For me they’re my Firestick, Samsung tv and my Sony soundbar remote. I have figured out that if I shield the end of the remote with my hand in between it and the tree, then it doesn’t bother them. Sometimes I forget though. It’s not enough of a hassle to dissuade me from purchasing more when the time comes. They’re just beautiful.) So many options for colors, color combos, settings for fading in/out, moving, flashing….I can’t even begin to list them all. I have a patriotic tree that I leave up year round and specifically wanted red & blue lights on my new white tree. They’re such little bitty lights on the wire but they’re absolutely beautiful and bright. Pics and video done by my cell phone distorts them. They are bold, pop against the white tree and give the entire tree a beautiful glow. I was worried by the negative comments on the frailty of the thin wires and tangling. Honestly we did not rush and less than half an hour to do so. No need to look any further. Great price and hopefully will last a very long time. I hate having to strip off all the ornaments to take off burned thru lights. Previously had a pre lit tree but lights fried in less than a year. Hoping these will last much longer. I agree that the plug ins are very large. I ran a surge protector along the baseboard to the back of the tree. Once the skirt is on and ornaments hung, you’ll not even see them. 1 HUGE complaint: There are what seems like an infinite amount of buttons on the remote (1 per strand and I purchased the 2pk) and I’ve got to look for the instructions because I can’t find them. Even if I do find them, it’s in very small print that I can’t read even with my glasses. A QR code to complete instructions on the numerous functions of the remote would be a superb idea. If one exists, I’d love to get a link. I’m excited to figure out the timer. Hoping to extend the life of the lights by not having them on 24/7. Definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded. These are it! After purchasing, testing, and returning several other string lights, these are the lights that satisfied my wants. These lights have a working timer, meaning they turn off after the timer ends. These lights have a beautiful rainbow mode, a rainbow fade that shows all colors of the rainbow at once on the string and cycles through. I thought I wanted the entire string to be one color and then cycle through the rainbow, but I'm loving the entire rainbow on the string and the slowed down cycle. Its really just the rainbow mode that got me. I am using two sets of these lights, plugged into the same power block. Both remotes work and they turn off both lights. LOVE! I appreciate all the presets and the fact that I can change the speed of most settings, either slower or faster. I consider myself a LED / light person - these are top quality. Also, the remote works from across my room and that makes me happy. Heck, I might do my other rooms like I did my office.

Amazing value for the price. I think I've personally purchased 10 - 16 sets of these lights. The remote is wonderful and allows you to set a color and then use one of the mode buttons to change the animation of the lights. Through the remote, you can also control the speed of animation, as well as the change the overall brightness. It would be nice if the brightness and speed controls allowed for a wider range of settings, but they are still good. I also like the fact that a smart phone is not required for using these lights. This allowed me to install a bunch of these in our fitness studio where many instructors need to be able to control the lights or set them the way they wish.

Review for BrizLabs LEDs Rating: 4 stars (or 4.5 if they allow halves) Comments: These lights are fabulous! They are very bright and have numerous colors and color combinations that allow these lights to be used all year. The lighting modes are well done too. The programming they did is among the best I've seen. These are hard to beat! However, I want to mention why I didn't rate them a 5... These lights are not meant for outdoor use - actually, only the USB part. They would be even better if that was the case. Wish they were. I just put the USB end in a plastic baggie when used outside. The remote and sensor are a bit finicky. Seems to have a small sweet-spot on USB end to activate via remote. Be nice it that worked a little better. These lights cannot be daisy-chained together. I think they make a longer one if needed though. The remote does control more than one light string if the sensor is in range, so you can 'synch' 2 or more strings to have the same colors & modes. Problem I saw is that they never stay synched for long - one would drift over time. Wish they would. Probably due to their use of low tolerance components. Lastly, I would like to see more lighting color combos and maybe additional lighting modes. What they have currently is quite robust and should satisfy most users. However, I found after trying to replace a LED on a string I broke by using a LED from a 2nd string I broke, that each LED on the wire has it's own ID or something. When I replaced LED #20 due to a broken wire with the 2nd LED from the other broken string, the 'new' LED #20 lit only when LED #2 lit. So it seems to be they can control each LED individually! If that's true, I'm sure there are folks out there who would love to program their own color combos & sequences or download ones others created. I see lots of potential with these! Also, while discovering that I can't just replace a LED with any other one, I temporarily daisy-chained the 2 broken strings together to figure out what was going on. That's when I noticed the 2nd string would light the same # LED as the 1st string. So in reality if they left a little extra wire at the tip, one could add another set of lights there and they would synch EXACTLY the same as the 1st string. I may try that when I need them to sync.
