    • It is a good water bottle.
Works basically as expected (it is a water bottle). Makes the tap water in my house taste better also. Things I've noted: -The neck of the bottle is fairly narrow, making it necessary to have some long-handled sponge or brush to clean inside the bottle, but that's hardly a deal breaker. The straw and cap are also pretty easy to clean with one of those pipe cleaner looking brushes. -I also have a tendency to chew the rubber mouthpiece/straw part of waterbottles, and after having this one for a month or so the straw is still basically like new, so unless you really go to town on it the rubber straw bit seems like it'd last a while. -The only time the bottle has leaked is when I threw it into a gym bag and accidentally hit the cap button in transit. If you keep it upright on the side of your backpack or whatever I can't really envision that happening too easily. -When you go to refill the bottle and unscrew the lid/straw, sometimes water gets held in the straw so make sure to wait a few seconds and let any water run out back into the bottle or a sink before taking the lid fully off. If you like to live on the edge, are impatient, or don't care about spilling water on the floor, feel free to disregard this advice. ... show more

Former Bobble fan. When the company went *poof* I had to go looking for another water bottle. I was hesitant to buy another personal water bottle from Brita after being stung back in the 80s. I had two of their bottles, and less than a year after purchasing them couldn't find filters for them ANYWHERE. After two years of trying to love my KOR I broke down and got this Brita. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I no longer turn red while trying to get a sip of water. It's relatively easy to keep clean. A bottle brush for the main part and some swishing in hot, soapy water for the rest. No worries about touching THAT SPOT the wrong way and screwing up its ability to function. I haven't had any problems with leaking and mine gets jostled around in my backpack. The best part is that, unlike in the 80s, the filters for this bottle are ready available. They're also more affordable and sturdier than the KOR filters. One caveat: there is a noticeable plastic smell, sometimes, when drinking. I found when I'm using it regularly it's fine, but if I go a day or two without using it, it's there. It's in the cap, so maybe leaving it open when not in use may help it dissipate? ... show more

    • Oh man this thing literally improved my life
So the tap water at my office tastes like crap. I drink a lot of water so this is a problem. My old solution was a to schlep a giant 2.5 liter water bottle to work everyday and I got so sick of that. I have no problem drinking tap water, but at the office the taste is just so inignorably bad. So I bought this. I knew it could filter out a lot but I was skeptical if it could filter out bad taste. Idk what the hell is wrong with my office water that makes it taste so bad, but whatever it is doesn't get through this filter. I no longer have to carry water from home anymore. I keep this bad boy at work and can now happily drink all this crappy tap water I want. Because of this I no longer have to lug a bunch of water from home each day. This is one of those rare Amazon purchases that has actually improved my everyday life. Best purchase ever ... show more

In love with this water bottle! I got this water bottle in the hopes of drinking more water about a year ago. I used to buy water bottles and I would stop using them because I didn’t enjoy drinking water. Since investing in this water bottle I drink about 5 bottle bottles in a day! The filtered water has such a great taste it makes me only want to drink water. This water bottle has changed my lifestyle. The only thing I didn’t like was that the water only stays cold for so long in this particular brita water bottle. I recently invested in the stainless steel version and I’m LOVING IT the water stays cold for 24 hours!!!!!! Anyways, I love these products honestly well worth it! These water bottles pay for themselves time and time again! You will not regret it!!! ... show more

Pro: Worked great in Turks where the drinking water was bad. I was able to have clean drinking water without spending money. Handle was a nice way to carry it. Snapping lid helped keep the sand out and dirt off the drinking spout where the other model didn't have this feature. It didn't seem leak at all. Cons: Hard to get sip from. I found myself straining unless I bit the tip of it. I found that it doesn't taste that great. Depending on the water source. I tried this while on vacation and back at home and it taste funny. You can still taste the filter. *Don't stick it in the freezer! The filter will crack and damage the filter delivering stem (learned that the hardway). It would be a great feature if this was also a thermos and kept the water cold. ... show more

Much better than the previous Brita bottles that I tried. This one doesn’t leak! It’s lightweight, and it’s not too difficult to get water to come out of the straw. The cap is also a great feature because it protects the straw, unlike some of their other bottles where the straw is exposed and rubs up against everything from the airplane floor to the bathroom stalls and my airplane neighbor’s feet. I saw some evidence that some leaking occurs out of the straw, but the locking cap keeps it contained from leaking out everywhere. I left the bottle laying on its side for a little while and when I popped open the cap, water spilled out, so just be careful when you open it up. I thought that water tasted fine out of this bottle, and I also found it pretty easy to clean. This model is a huge improvement over their older models. Good job, Brita! ... show more
