I ordered these long straights for my son's new train set. I had bought him new Brio trains for Christmas, but most of the track pieces I purchased used off a neighbor, so they were a mix of various different brands (Melissa & Doug, Thomas, and one other I don't know). We needed a few more straights, so I went with these from Brio. At first I was disappointed by the price for only 4 pieces. But I have to say, the quality of these is well above and beyond the other pieces we have. They fit together perfectly and are easy to attach and detach. The Brio trains roll easily along these tracks--not so with some of the others. The other track pieces can frustrate my 2.5-yr-old, but these are much easier to use, less frustrating, and therefore more fun! ... show more

Brio is reliable. I started a Brio train set for my daughter 34 years ago. Now her son plays with the set. While creating a route for his train, he ran out of track. His great-granddad said, "Wesley, you've just learned an important fact about trains--you never have enough track!" So I thought why not add track now? Brio track from 34 years ago still works with today's track. When Wesley received the new track for an Easter present, he clutched it excitedly and said, "Thank you! Thank you! I needed more track!" Great accessory for brio trains!

    • Cheaper tracks are out there
Do not mix different brands of wooden tracks, although they look alike and the connect together, just the slightest deviation in brands will cause derailment in rolling stock. This is even worst with battery powered locomotives.

Good set of straight track and authentic Brio means it does fit well together. I purchased these to solve the problem with the couple generations old collection of track and trains that I found, this being that with all the sets and parts purchased over the years there was a lot of curves but not too much to go striaght, so a couple of these sets solved that quickly. ... show more

We needed extra long tracks in order to make extra huge track layouts. As usual, Brio fulfills our needs and is compatible with all of our tracks of every possible brand. Will being buy more of these when we expand our layouts as our child gets older.
