This Pizza oil is incredible! I had no idea something this simple could be so delicious. I am now packing the pizza oil with me when going to get pizza! I am going to order another bottle just to keep in the car!!

I had never tried (or even heard of) pizza oil before ordering this, so I had no idea what to expect. Plus, the idea of putting oil on already oily pizza seems strange. But once I tasted it, I understood the appeal! This oil has a delicious very herbal flavor and a low level heat. I first tried it on pizza (delish) and once I knew I loved the flavor, also tried it on pasta and eggs. For me, it adds an extra zing to the meal. The oil arrived intact and well packaged, no leaking or other issues of that nature. The only reason I deducted a star is the price. Even though I love the taste of this product, the fact is that it's 12 ounces of flavored olive oil. The price point (even with the 5% off coupon currently available) feels inflated. But if that's not an issue for you, this really is delicious!

Brightland is a really great olive oil company and even though this product feels a bit pricey, it's actually very much in line with their company's prices and what I would expect to pay. Especially since it's sooo delicious! I love that this has both spice and jalapeño flavor, along with some nice herbs. It's spicy, but not TOO spicy (which is how it should be since jalapeños aren't super duper spicy. As is recommended by the name, I've been using this on my pizza dough before adding toppings. If you get takeout pizza you're not loving, you can also just drizzle a little of this on top! However, it's also really delicious on pasta dishes and eggs. And I'm sure it has even more uses I haven't tried yet. This makes a great gift for any foodie that loves a little bit of spice and appreciates high-quality olive oil.

We tried this oil with a number of breads, pizza, and lasagna and overall find it to be quite smooth with a good jalapeno zing, but would not buy again at this price. Unless you have a extremely discerning sense of taste, you'll probably be unable to differentiate between this and a mid-shelf EVOO for half the price. The bottle has been fine, no leakage like others reported.

I’m using this to dip bread into, rather than regular olive oil. I like that it’s already pre-seasoned with herbs (not much jalapeño, that I could discern) and it makes for a nice start to an Italian meal. I add a little grated parmesan cheese and I’m good to go. I tend to blot excess oil off my pizza, so I don’t really see the point of adding a finishing oil on top. If I want heat, I’ll add red pepper flakes (a.k.a. crushed red pepper). But, hey, maybe that’s just me. This arrives in a lovely retro-diner style plastic bottle in an impressive box suitable for gift giving. As for freshness, in October of 2024, I received a bottle with a “best by” date of May, 2026.

I enjoy my pizza with crushed red pepper, but sometimes the heat doesn't reach the pie until after it has been cooked. This adds heat immediately and can be applied during or after cooking. To be honest, I'm really enjoying it with my pizza crust, substituting it for butter to add a bit more taste. It could be too much, in my opinion, if it were all over the pie, but it's good to have a little spiciness here and there, and this makes it simple to sprinkle where you want it.

The olive oil tastes so strong and is a little unpleasant, so no other flavors shine through. Would not buy again.

This would make a great gift. It comes in a box with red and white checks to match the bottle. It's well protected in the box, too. The ingredients are nice and clear - nothing sketchy.
