Ordered this to save space in our small living room and loved that it was easily portable. It folds up and pops out super quick and easy. Super user friendly in the simple controls. No unnecessary sounds when it is swinging like some other swings we have used. It is super cute and my baby loves it. The only negative I see is it seems vet cheaply made in that the metal legs seem very lightweight/flimsy but haven’t had any issues with that. ... show more

To start: We purchased this for our newborn because we did not have the space for a big ol' stationary plug-in-the-wall swing. To be clear, I would prefer one that plugs in to the wall, but we don't have the space in our apartment, so a compact one is the way we went. At the time of purchase, this was the only swing in market that was compact and easy to store. It does reflect in price, which could be a good or bad thing. You definitely get what you pay for. PROs: - The swing is easy to assemble. - The legs fold up easily as does the seat for easy storing. - The seat is basically a bucket seat-cradle, which my newborn loved. It holds up really well in the wash! - I thought about putting this as a negative, but I guess its a catch 22 --- the seat is kind of difficult to take off, but on the plus side, it is very secure and no risk of i accidentally slipping off when folding the swing up to store. (Just a little annoying when taking it off to wash after a diaper blow-out. - There are two positions - one where the baby is sitting up and one where baby is more reclined, however the seat itself does not change from its cradled position. - There are three timer options for the swing - 15, 30, 45 minutes and 6 different speeds. - There are six different melodies with two different volumes. - Baby can be entertained by 6 ribbon tags and two (removable) hanging toys. - And there's a 5 point harness to secure baby. CONS: - The swing is designed to hold babies up to 25 lbs whereas others average about 45 lbs. My little one is 13 lbs and I am already questioning the swing's integrity -- it's easy to tell that if the swing weren't set up properly, he could probably tip back easily. To help this, I make sure the seat position is set to where he's sitting up more than reclined back. And of course, I make sure he's buckled up. I have concerns over having a really mobile baby and will probably have to put this away before too much longer. - The knob for changing the speed on the swing is SO LOUD. As soon as I turn the knob, my sleepy baby is awake. I really wish that had been put into consideration, since this is designed for little (probably sleeping babies). I've taken to setting the speed where I want it and then instead of shutting the swing off, set the timer to the shortest time (15 minutes) and let the swing ride out the timer. Then, when I'm ready to use it again, I just push the very quiet timer button to turn the swing back on, so as not to disturb baby. Again, you get what you pay for. I appreciate it for what it is and my baby seems to enjoy it, but if I have another baby in future and have the space, I will likely upgrade to a different swing. ... show more
