As someone who has travelled professionally for thirteen years, I have owned many toiletry bags, and tried various brands of luggage. My last toiletry bag was a Tumi, and while it looks the part, and hangs nicely, and is slightly bigger than this one, it has an annoying design flaw in that it kind of only wanted to hang. It was designed such that if there was nowhere to hang it, and you just wanted to place it on a counter, as is convenient in some hotels, there was not really an option for that. So I thought I’d try this one by Briggs & Riley. I think it is my second from this brand, but my first ‘executive’ or hanging option. There was a bit of a down size from my Tumi, which immediately meant I had to put a standard size deodorant in the side pocket rather than one of the extra tall ones. There are slightly fewer pockets, so organization was a bit different. But overall this is a really excellent bag. It’s made as well as any comparable Tumi, while also running half or a third of the price, which is excellent value. It can indeed hang or sit, without any impairment to the functionality. I have all the space I need for content. We all know that you can buy a Dopp kit from anywhere, and toiletry storage solutions start at a fraction of the price of this one. But a well made, good looking, hang or sit design, isn’t so hard to come by. And for that reason, I am well pleased with this one. ... show more

    • ABSOLUTELY PERFECT TRAVEL TOILETRY BAG. Perfect layout AND SLIM SIZE.
I have literally looked high and low for the perfect travel toiletry bag. I have bought ( and gave away ) about four of them because they weren't what I needed. I came across this model and design and this is the perfect toiletry bag. I travel frequently and hated all the compartments in the others. Everything was so difficult to find. This bag basically has one big compartment on the bottom ( when opened ) and another zipper compartment in the top. Everything I need is super easy to locate and use. It also has a small handle on top to pick it up. I am a gentleman so I just need the basics when I travel. THIS BAG IS THE BEST TRAVEL BAG I HAVE FOUND. It is super well made and the design of the interior and exterior compartments is perfect! It is also small and thin for my carry on luggage yet big enough for long trips. If you need a toiletry bag I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!!! ... show more

A little smaller that I expected. It will still work fine for my travels needs The only suggestion is future model should have some small pockets in side the main compartment for organization. Other than that, it is a well made item that should serve me well for years to come.

    • Bag has one handle on rear of top so it is awkward to carry

The handle is not placed in the center top of bag, which is where it should be in order to carry it. The other option would've been to have a clip-on shoulder strap attached to the sides of the bag. The handle is attached the rear top of the bag so that when you pick it up, the bag falls forward and downward looking like a sad bag. It also puckers up at front as a result on the top and front of bag as such because the items inside all fall forward and the weight of the bag falls forward and downward making it unattractive and extremely awkward. as such the handle doesn't function to carry the bag. I really have to wonder if there was something missing on this bag ? I hope Briggs & Riley can weigh in? I honestly think it ended up here because it was a failure in design and didn't sell. I don't understand the good reviews here unless they're just so impressed with the name that that alone satisfies some buyers. I look for function first but this one has been left hanging on the door handle since the day I bought it reminded me of how unattractive it looks it does when it's empty and one only carries it under one's arm. So what's the point of this bag that you can't pick up? I don't understand how people like it. Are they never having to pick it up? I have several other bags that I have used for travel back-and-forth to Europe and for shorter trips however, this one is not going to be one I reach for and I have great bags with two handles, and one handle that cost significantly less and operate better. The interior looks fine but overall the bag is bulky and difficult to fit in a Tumi carry-on without adding considerable bulk. I'll be looking for something that packs a good bit but doesn't have as much bulk. This bag is made of good material that appears to be waterproof but I don't see where the application would be appropriate without the ability to also carry it. weatherproof materials are needed for outdoors mostly, but not all trips require waterproof, heavy-duty material. So, to make a bag that has weatherproof material without form and function, (carrying handles and even a shoulder strap) seems to miss the mark entirely ... show more
