The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with this kit overall. It's perfect for someone who has an intermediary level of experience building kits, or who is an expert but wants something a little more leisurely. After the build it looks great, especially with the lighting kit, and it's a respectable size. The lighting kit it comes with has an after-market feel, and the instructions are pictorial, except for wire labels which are in Hanzi. I found it slightly more challenging than the build itself. Still, it looks and works great. Two C2023 3V batteries for the lighting kit are not included. My only complaint is that the model is a bit flimsy, especially before it's completed. Therefore, gentle but dextrous hands are needed -- consider this when buying for a kid.

I am a Lego fanatic who has been building their sets since I was 12-13. Now as an adult, these sets are even more expensive and sometimes unimaginative. So on to the Pantasy. It is just as intricate as a Lego set. The pieces feel familiar and how they are put together is also very familiar. So there is one plus. The size overall is a bit small for the cost. It feels as if Pantasy is taking a page out of Lego’s marketing materials here. In reality this set should be around $69.99 or $74.99 and not $99. It is a highly intricate build similar to that of a Technic set. The detail is extremely high overall and the build is a pleasure to complete. The directions can get just a bit confusing at times and this is where it again differs from a Lego set build. In the end I was able to build it in a few hours over a weekend. Total time was probably around 5-6 hours over 2 days. Overall, there is no substitute for a Lego set - truly there just is not. The sheer vast difference in the sets, quality, and pleasure of a Lego build is next to none. However, Lego doesn’t have the rights to Astro Boy and this set will fill a gap, if this is something you are interested in. Overall, I would buy this again or give it as a gift now that I have had a chance to test it out. Again, I think the price is a bit high and feel that it should have been priced a bit lower based on quality of the parts, fitment, and overall number of pieces. That said, if you just have to have that Astro Boy build then this will definitely suffice and it is worth it - at least in my opinion.

Another quality set from Pantasy. Instruction was straightforward. Tho the booklet does not show how to install the light kit, Pantasy posted a youtube video on how to do it on a completed set. Personally I recommend installing the lights right when you finished the base, as you go through the first box (bags 1 through 9), so that you do not have to disassemble the completed set. The light kit is a bonus addition, however the connecting wires seems to be pretty flimsy i hope they last a little longer. Maybe this is because Pantasy wanted the wires to be less visible within the set but since the lights are underneath, I think using a thicker gage wire would still be okay. It's a great set. When I finished capsuled I just 'wowed' because it was cute.

The media could not be loaded. Knocked this out in a weekend, if you’re a pro this might take you a day. Take your time the fits can be snug. The light kit instructions can be found on YouTube and takes less than 2 mins and anyone can do it! Loved this!

The box the kit contains is high end and makes a great gift. The parts are packaged in sequence of building the kit, almost all have 2 bags per stage which helps in differentiating colors. The instructions comes in a magazine form and are fairly easy to follow. There were some small extra pieces left over. Some of the kit is not built to scale, since some of the parts are made for minifigures and the two figures included in the kit are much larger. Nice detailing of Atom/Astro boy's chest and leg. The quality of this kit are in some ways much better than lego kits. I am tempted to buy more kits from this maker.

It’s very nice. It came with all the pieces and with instructions. I will say that the pieces come off sort of easily after it’s built, but if you are careful then you should be fine.

This was my first non-Lego purchase of a set that is Lego compatible. What was fun was using pieces and colors I have never seen in a Lego set before. Most of the build was straight forward. some of the smaller pieces do not have the exact tolerances of Lego pieces so they did not fit snugly. This caused pieces to fall off easily when combining bigger sections. Overall, a good experience.

My son wanted this for Christmas and I thought it looked SO hard to assemble but it surprisingly wasn't. Granted hes 18 but he did it in about a hour so I think that's pretty good. I love the part that lights up. It's a great touch that just sets it off. I'm sure the one that doesn't light up is just as good but if you are able to pay a little more for the light up its definitely worth it. We have this and several other Lego creations on display and it looks great. I definitely recommend this set.
