Works as it should and was the length I needed. The carabiner is extremely heavy duty, almost too heavy, so hopefully that’s a good sign of how well this will hold up. Needed to relocate our breakaway cable box and needed a longer than normal length of 6 ft, so was happy to come across this and in other size configurations as well. My only complaint is that there were plenty of color options besides red, the one I wanted. It may be boring, but red is the color for safety and attention, so I would’ve really preferred it as a color option. Went with blue as it somewhat matches our trailer. Other than that, good product and value for the price!

The build and size of this surprised me. I have another style of this and that cable is tiny compared to this one. This could double as a dog leash for a full grown Rottweiler... Besides the wire cable being hefty, the carabiner is made from steel (not aluminum) and a large size. It opens nice & wide to connect to a variety of styles of receivers. I've never tested what it takes to pull out the safety pin on the brake-away system, but using this I know that the safety wire won't be the weak link of the effort if ever needed. The durability of this will give me peace of mind that it will: -work if needed -last a long time -handle any rough conditions that comes its way 5 Stars Thanks Amazon Vine

I cut off the Breakaway Trailer Cable that came on our trailer. This is so much easier and faster with the caribiner. The caribiner is very sturdy and large. The plastic coating is nice and thick on the cable. Everything is as described and heavy duty. For the price you can’t beat this. I ordered a different one previously and returned it and found this one. I like the bright color which makes it easy to see. I also like the fact that it stays coiled when connected and doesn’t drag the ground. This is sturdy, very easy to install and use. I’m so glad I ordered this!

On my 25' flatbed gooseneck trailer, the original breakaway trailer cable was getting really brittle, and the clip had recently broken off. I was debating on how to best fix it when I saw this little contraption, and I was instantly sold. This is built solid and should last as long as the trailer does, and maybe then some. I also like the bright color, because it makes it easy to quickly see if I remembered to connect it or not. The price is honestly a very good deal, especially considering just the carabiner itself could cost that much, depending upon where you're shopping. If your current setup is failing or about to fail, get this now. You won't be disappointed.
