It's a solid tie. Is as described. Functions like a tie, assuming you know how to tie one (haha), the black color is truly black and the length is great for me. I say I'm an average guy, but I'm actually 6'1". You can't go wrong when these ties are on sale or on a deal. Nobody is ever going to be touching your tie, so they won't know if you're wearing a silk tie, a satin tie, a cotton tie, polyester, etc. You get the point that very few people can identify wool clothing just by looks and not by feel. Same thing with silk and satin. Even though silk is a fabric, and satin is a pattern, it ends up being very similar in view and touch. All-in-all, it's a great tie. I only needed it for one event, but for less than $10 it's great, and I have no reason to get rid of it, so it's worth buying, in my opinion.
