This kit worked well on my Tektro brakes. The kit includes lots of adapters for other types of brakes and 3 bottles of mineral oil (well sealed). All the parts are well made. The instructions that come with the kit are of limited value but there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. I'd never bled brakes on a bicycle before, found it was far easier than on a car! ... show more

    • Versatile brake bleed kit - good value
Truth be told, I haven’t actually used this yet - just received it. That’s why I didn’t rate it a 5. (Amazon gets a little impatient about doing reviews. So I’m rushing it.) But a friend used one just like it to top off my brakes - it worked like a champ. Why did he and I pick this kit when there are dozens of similar kits from which to choose? #1: translucent cup/reservoir. Very handy for monitoring fluid level - both when pouring fluid into the cup and as the fluid level drops during the process of bleeding or topping off your brakes. It is also easier to see if you have your setup level. #2: Comes with more mineral oil than most. #3: multiple bottles of fluid (vs. 1 larger bottle). Keeps fluid fresher longer and reduces waste if you accidentally spill a bottle. #4: vast array of adapters and gadgets makes it more versatile. To be honest, I don’t know if I will ever use any of the adapters, but I might if/when I get a chance to help a friend with their brakes. Thus, it’s nice to have options. Bottom line - this kit seemed to have the best overall value. I can’t speak to the durability yet. But I’m not a bike mechanic who is doing this everyday. I expect it will be more than adequate for doing a brake job every year or 2 (or 3). ... show more

    • Worked perfect for an Aventon e-bike.
This kit worked perfect for an Aventon e-bike. Due to the angle of the reservoir, it would be hard to fill and bleed it any other way. It did a really good job of getting all the air bubbles on a bike that had been run out of fluid and had lots of air in the line. Alternating pulling back on the syringe and pushing on it really helped to get the bubble out fast. ... show more

This kit has just about everything you possibly need. Everything is plastic but for a diy guy bleeding/changing fluid maybe once a year this kit is perfect.
