  • budget option for the name brand
Color: Red
This is a generic brand for the kanoodle game. This has a nice feel to it quality wise but just a couple things that make it not as good as the name brand. 1. No stand for the top/lid of the game so it cant stand facing you as you play, it has to lay down. 2. No storage slot for the booklet and it cant fit inside the case. So you will have to just tote around in the box it came in rather than just use it as it's meant to be used by keeping everything self contained. 3. Not as many challenge set ups in the booklet as name brand. For the difference in price, honestly I'd go the few extra bucks for the real thing. While this is nice, the fact the booklet is just flopping around lose and cant be included in the case is a real downside to this brand. If they just printed the booklet smaller to make it fit, gave a few more challenges in the booklet and made hinges so it only opened to 90 degrees or a little further rather than lay down at 180 degrees this would be a gem. ... show more

  • Probably best for kids
Color: Blue
I love brain teasers but this one didn’t really wow me or anything. It says it’s for kids and adults but I’m thinking it’s probably better for elementary school aged kids. Everything fits nicely together in the box and it isn’t too bulky. Maybe I’ll give it another chance in the future.

  • A fun spatial reasoning puzzle game, but the value for money misses the mark
Color: Blue
This is a set of Kanoodle-like puzzles where you set up the playing field according to an image in the instruction booklet. You place certain pieces in particular slots which are unmovable for the rest of the puzzle, and then you fill in the rest of the empty spaces with the remaining puzzle pieces. The packaging feels pretty generic and unappealing, but it gives you the information you need to know what you are getting. The puzzle pieces are a nice set of pastel colors which I like. The timer is a nice touch, too. You can set minutes and seconds, but you can't make it count up, only down. Batteries not included. It didn't take me very long to complete all 36 -- most took between 30 seconds to a couple of minutes. I only had trouble with one puzzle and it took over 15 minutes for me to solve. Most of the puzzles felt pretty samey -- there wasn't quite the range of difficulty and number of puzzles as in the Kanoodles I have tried (Cosmic and Genius). I wouldn't recommend this at its current price, especially when Kanoodles are cheaper with more value for money. ... show more

  • Excellent game to keep teens occupied.
Color: Black
This brain teaser game has been a huge hit in my classroom. Kids will finish work just so they can play it. Definitely kid tested and teacher approved. The timer hasn't really been used as they just try to solve it, but this is great for building problem-solving skills, focus and persistence. The small size and sturdy case makes it perfect for travel. This is a great game for teens and adults alike. ... show more

  • Engaging Puzzles, Awkward Design
Color: Red
I find the puzzle aspect of this game really enjoyable. It offers a good level of challenge and genuinely makes you think. The accompanying book is well-designed, packed with many different challenge layouts, complete with answers and varying difficulties, which keeps things interesting for a long time. The puzzle pieces themselves are made of hard, colorful plastic and fit together very nicely within the grooves of the game's case. It's satisfying to click them into place and get started on a new challenge. Where the product falls short for me is in the case design, particularly around the timer. While it's nice that the whole thing comes in a case to keep the pieces organized, the built-in timer feels like an afterthought. The controls aren't intuitive at all, and there's no clear on off switch, so it seems to just eat through batteries without adding much real value to the gameplay experience. Another significant drawback to the case is that the book of puzzle layouts doesn't fit inside. This really impacts its portability, which is a shame for a game that feels like it would be perfect for travel or just taking along to different rooms. It seems sturdy enough, at least. It's a fun concept and provides great solo gameplay, but the overall case design definitely needs some refinement. ... show more

  • Great Mind Puzzle Game!
Color: Black
This brain teaser puzzle game is fun, colorful, and surprisingly addictive! The sturdy, travel-friendly design and bright beads make it engaging and easy to use anywhere. This puzzle doesn’t take up much space and is perfect for travel and very sturdy. The built-in timer and two modes add challenge, while the gameplay promotes logic, problem-solving, and focus. It’s a great screen-free STEM/Montessori-style toy for ages 3+ through adults. Perfect for travel, quiet time, or gifting! ... show more

  • A fun, quick little Tetris-like puzzle game
Color: Black
This little puzzle game is a fun on-the-go activity you can toss into your pocket. It’s basically a timer plus the puzzle of how do you fit all these pieces into the box so they perfectly fill the spaces. The piece are Tertris-like colorful balls fused together and they need to be fit into the space in a minute to win. You can alter the time limit either way and even turn off the clock ticking if you like. It’s basic but a load of fun and wonderful for teaching spatial skills. ... show more
