  • Happy with Purchase
Size: 164 Feet
Sturdy and very well made. To keep it lasting longer, we do fold it up and put in garage when not in use. By far, this is the best clothesline of this style we’ve ever had.

  • Quality Built
Size: 164 Feet
I bought this Brabantia clothesline online through Amazon. The last one I had was gotten from Home Depot and was cheaply made.. When I took this new one out of the box I could really the difference. The metal used to make this one was alot thicker and heavier. The ropes were all tight, out of the box. In the past when putting up a clothesline I always dug a hole and then used cement to hold it steady and level. The directions with instructed someone using a seldge hammer and piece of lumber to drive the holder in the ground with no cement required. I was able to do so and it looks like it will keep the clothesline upright and level. I had a 3 foot seldgehammer that made driving it down into the ground easy. Heres a picture of mine right after I got it in the ground with my dog, Tiger, running by it. I think it is going to work ok and dont see any problems. ... show more

  • Easy to use & then fold down and cover
Size: 164 Feet
I read reviews on this before purchasing and I have to say, I found this product to be perfect for what I was wanting. Some folks commented on the difficulty of installing the base, but we followed the directions given by the manufacturer and had no problem. We cut the cross in the ground as suggested, drove in a smaller pipe first, removed it then pounded the base in using a sledgehammer with a 2x4 laying across the top of the base. It went into the ground with no problem. The dryer is easy to pop up and take down. I bought a cover to keep the lines clean. It's a minimal visual distraction in the back yard. We are very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • INSTALL
Size: 164 Feet
To the person who marked this as unhelpful, If you would have read the whole review , I did address my fondness for the item. It is very light weight. It is durable construction. It is so easy to pop out of the ground and store away when not in use. There is a bright red cap to waterproof the base that snaps onto the clothesline. They thought of everything. This thing weighs nothing! I do not have a dryer so this is my only source for drying. I will update my review as to how well it holds up. With daily use, it should be clear just how good the product is. So far it's fantastic! ! PLEASE READ - INSTALLATION ! This product already has reviews stating how wonderful and durable it is. I wanted to write a review that addresses a few key points on installation since that seems to be an issue with some. I read a few reviews and I figured the install would be a little tricky. I took my time and made note of a few points, It really wasn't difficult at all. The instructions are NOT in English. Here it is explained as best I can. You can ask any questions in the comment section. I will reply. .My best recommendation is that you have two people instead of one. .You MUST have the proper tools, No compromise. They are a 3 to 4 foot 2 x 4 and a small hand held sledge hammer. DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A REGULAR HAMMER, And also you will need a level. .Find the spot you want to drive the wedge for your pole into and have someone hold the 2 x 4 over the wedge squarely. Make sure the person holding the 2 x 4 has a firm grip but do not lock any bone joints. You could cause a fracture, Tapping slightly with the sledge hammer until you get a good start and no longer have to hold the wedge with your hand. .Start to strike the 2 x 4 with hard blows. Check within the first few hard strikes that the wedge is level. If at any point it is not, pop it out and start over until it is being driving in squarely. Drive it almost all the way to ground level so that a mower can go right over it without any problem. I have clay soil with tons of rock! The rest is pretty self explanatory and I don't want to insult anyone's intelligence so just let me know if you have any questions. I know it sounds simple, but from what I've read, the real issue is having the proper tools. The sledge hammer will help break rock and the 2 x 4 will help insure the wedge doesn't get damaged as well as help drive it into the ground strait. Hope that helps! I really love this clothesline dryer. It's easy and so light. No concern of being an eyesore. RECOMMENDED! ... show more

  • Awesome product
Size: 164 Feet
I am very happy with my Brabantia clothesline. It is well constructed, easy to install, and works great. Because I live in Florida and my yard is sand, I buried a 5 gallon bucket, put the tube in and then poured quickrete around it to hold the tube in place. Now the clothesline pole can slip in and if I need to take it out to store for a hurricane, its easy. DO keep the cap and put it on the tube if you have to take the pole out for any reason. It is very sturdy. The only think I would suggest to Brabantia is some type of locking mechanism to keep the pole in place in the tube while lifting the clothesline to an open position. Its hard to get it folded out without the pole coming out of the tube. Great product and did exactly what I hoped. ... show more

  • The nicest and sturdiest clothes line I e ever had. Saving money by drying clothes naturally
Size: 164 Feet
It was very easy to assemble and put in the ground. The spin top is really nice because I can turn the clothesline around toe instead of having a lot of extra steps to hang clothes or get the after drying..I am VERY pleased!

  • Great Rotary Dryer
Size: 164 Feet
This is my first rotary dryer and I love it. I have always used a pulley system and have often strung up several clotheslines in the backyard to handle several large washloads. I don't like taking down clotheslines after each wash and it doesn't look very nice leaving them up. After watching my neighbor easily take down her rotary dryer after each wash I decided to buy one. I have used it twice already and it is very roomy. It can easily handle three loads of wash. I am only 4' 10" and do not have any problem reaching the lines. I spent quite a bit of time reading the reviews before purchasing and realized that I would have to be careful installing the spike into the ground. I decided to install the day after a rain so that the ground would be a little easier to work with. I made a shallow starter hole by driving a metal rod part way in the ground. I pulled the rod out and then placed the spike in the starter hole. I put a thick board on top of the spike and started driving the spike in with a sledge hammer. I would not recommend trying to drive the spike in without a sledge hammer and thick board on top. While driving the spike in I periodically checked to make sure it was going in straight. It wasn't that difficult to install and it is well worth the effort. ... show more
