I was excited that this worked well with my computer but it wasn't working with my phone. After many YouTube videos, in different languages, I figured it out and I am so happy. I like this mic a lot. In case you are having the same issue before you return the item, try the following. I did 2 things, 1. Try this first. Go to Settings. In the search bar, type OTG Connection and click on that. Turn that on. This time out after 10 minutes of not being used, so you must do this every time you want to record. This is annoying but it will not time out while recording, so that's good. 2. The first thing I tried, which did not fix the issue alone, but may also be necessary was I went to Settings, down to Sounds & Vibrations, then More, Click Default Device, and change to Use Peripheral Device, or Add-On. Also, remember that you may need to unplug your external mic in order to hear the playback of your recording. Hope this helps someone I have a OnePlus NordCE 5G ... show more

I just got this product and was pleasantly surprised. Well designed, and above all, excellent quality. I use it as a healthcare professional to dictate notes on the go, and it is just perfect. I like the unique design of the receiver that makes it less recognizable as a mic. I was quite skeptical when I saw just one review with a price tag higher than similar mics I was browsing. The BOYA Wireless Lavalier Microphone is my first lavalier microphone and so far, it does the job. Sound quality will be dependent on your environment. There is background noise when noise suppression is off, but no audio distortion. That's when the sound is cleanest. I'm surprised with how well the noise suppression works when enabled, but at the cost of distortion. As long as my voice can still be heard over the background noise, the noise suppression is doing its job well. I don't like how there is no button to adjust the microphone gain, so you have to do that in post. As for battery life, it hasn't died on me just because I haven't used it for a long period of time. I like that the magnet is easy to detach from the microphone which makes the process of clipping to my shirt easier than competing brands. The only deal breaker I have encountered is that if you have a phone case, the chances are that you will need a USB type C female to male adapter to use the receiver since the way the receiver is designed won't fit through the the case's charging port. ... show more

I ordered two additional cables to try and make it work with my iPhone and I still couldn’t do it. This one came and right out of the box it was ready to go, and easy to use! Update - customer service excellence - 3/23/24 Shortly after posting my review I was contacted by BOYA to apologize for the inconvenience when I wasn’t able to get the lightning connector to fit through the port cover on my otter box case and the mfi adapter I tried wouldn’t work. So BOYA offered me a full refund and told me I didn’t need to return the product. When I informed them that I received it free through Amazon vine and a refund wasn’t necessary they instead offered to send me a new one with a usb c connector so I could use with my iPad Pro. So they sent me a new one, in my choice of color, and informed me that I still did not need to return the lightning version. The set comes with the plugin receiver, two mics and two covers for windy recording. Now that I have had a chance to use it a couple times I can say that the quality of the sound is excellent. With the wind screens on you really can’t tell that it’s recording on a windy day. I was disappointed to discover that using this in my iPad disables the speaker output. I was hoping I could use this for zoom meetings for better quality sound but it’s a no go. That isn’t the fault of BOYA - that’s just how iOS works. Given that I don’t do a ton of vlogging I don’t know how much use I will get out of it, but I plan to use it for the purposes of recording live guitar and singing, and it has already worked excellently for recording myself reading books for my kids, and also for ‘dubbing’ audio from other sources, if I can maintain quiet from said children. Though it does appear to have good noise isolation, I have been unsuccessful so far at blocking out the background noise of having kids in proximity. But perhaps that is too much to ask of any noise isolation. As I’ve only tried this once, if I’m able to solve this issue I’ll update, but based on both product quality and customer service I’ve already changed my review to five stars. ————- Sadly I was unable to get this to work. The lightning connector is not long enough to plug in through my phone case. I tried using a mifi adapter that works for usb drives and sd cards and powers my phone, but I got nothing with Boya. No pairing. The mics themselves blink blue looking to pair, but the plug in receiver acts dead. Wish I could swap for the usb-c and then at least use in my iPad and laptop. I have it three stars because I can’t get it to work, but not really fair to penalize it with a single star when it would probably work in a different iPhone. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was super excited to try out these mics but sadly they didn’t work. Everything appeared to charge and looked good to go.
