  • Pain to install
Style Name: 410 lbs Upgrade
You could make the argument either way about how good bow flex is for workouts. They're fairly inexpensive and do provide reasonable resistance training. I have an Extreme 2 and bought it with the standard 210 weight kit. Upgraded to the 310 pound kit and that was simple. You just plug the two new rods into the already there holes. Now I am upgrading to the 410 pound kit. The box it shipped in was kinda beat up but the kit wasn't damaged. Installing isn't as easy as just sliding the bracket onto the one already there. There's two screws that have to come out the bottom of the rod holder. A new bracket goes on the bottom and new screws go in holding the new 410 kit in place. This all has to be done blind with a stubby Phillips screw driver. So all that being said ya they add another 100 pounds of weight so they do what they're advertised to do. Four stars because they need to make the machine able to accept this weight upgrade much easier. ... show more

  • 100 pound upgrade to PR1000
Style Name: 310 Lbs Upgrade
Very easy upgrade for a machine that is not supposed to be upgradable. After removing the roof d block, pop out the two plugs next to the 50 lb rods. I used a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade to remove the tab that covered the plugged holes. Then it just a matter of putting the block back in place. ... show more

  • Nice upgrade
Style Name: 310 Lbs Upgrade
Fit well, easy to install into the block that holds the existing rods. I'm not the guy that's going to test the overall resistance of the rods, but they're evenly matched and compare to the original rods in form and function. They added resistance as described and expected. Recommended if you're looking for more resistance. ... show more

  • Make sure you get a matched pair
Style Name: 310 Lbs Upgrade
The first pair of power pro rods that I received did not match. They were both labeled 50, but one was fatter than the other and had a different shrink tubing pattern around it. When I installed them on the machine, I could feel a difference in resistance between the two sides. So I went and bought a second pair, which were a perfect match. I returned the first pair, and now I’m happy. ... show more

  • The 410 kit does not include 4 rods
Style Name: 410 lbs Upgrade
I thought that the 410 upgrade brought the machine from 210 to 410, which would have included 4 50lb rods, but this kit is meant to bring you from the 310 to the 410 - so it only includes 2 rods and an adapter block.

  • Stronger = better, more weight = stronger, so these rods will make your bowflex better.
Style Name: 310 Lbs Upgrade
I like these, I've been enjoying them for a few months at this point and they've helped me both gain strength and trim my waistline down just a bit more. I do have an issue with them and it might be my installation. One weight seems to be less flexible than the other and gives more resistance than the other. It makes for an imbalanced workout: I'm not really sure how to correct this either: so I've been using the pair as bonus weights and I try to use them together where the imbalance isn't something I'll notice like with leg squats with the squad bar. Anway, they are good and very effective. So if you like or even love your bowflex and you find yourself at a plateau then this product is for you. And like I said, I may have installed them wrong or maybe got one that was defective, but regardless, they provide much more weight to the system so it's worth it. These come recommended for anyone that has a bowflex and is able to utilize all their bows that came standard. And thanks Amazon for getting it to me quickly and easily. Good luck and have fun out there and thanks for reading. ... show more
