I got this in hopes that I could take my dog out paddle boarding with me. This is the perfect kayak/paddle board hybrid and has so much room for my 70lbs dog to lay in the front. The convertible handle and blow up seat make it easy to go for rides with him. The paddle board is wide enough that it is sturdy enough to withstand all the crazy movement of a bird dog. We’ve enjoyed kayaking for the last several years and my husband recently bought an inflatable paddle board. I was hesitant to make the switch but I’m so glad I finally did! They are easy to transport, maneuver through the water and take up minimal space in the garage. My only issue is the back fin is a little too big (in comparison with my husband’s and friend’s) so the board wanted to drag in lower levels of water.

I do not know if I used the hand pump wrong but either way the inflation seal area was leaking air through the seams and I used super glue that I had, by chance, on the go to seal most of it off but especially where the string hole is air leaks through.. I bought a 2 year asurion protection plan so I am hoping they will help me out, I used this board for the first time two days ago, going far from Cowlitz and up the Columbia river on Day 1 and going back on Day 2, I had to reinflate the board multiple times to keep it up to 10 - 15 psi. (The hand pump might seem confusing at first, I put the hose on the 'OUT' part but it is supposed to stay on the 'IN' part, the psi gage does not work instantaneously.)

I was very impressed with this BOTE SUP right out of the box! It was packaged extremely well, three different boxes one inside of another, so the SUP was in perfect condition when I received it. This is what is called an all-in-one kit because it has everything that I need to go straight from the box to the water and not having to get anything else except a life vest and an ankle strap. This SUP kit has a seriously strong build and could be either used by a professional or a novice. You are able to use this SUP standing up, or you can sit down on the included inflatable oversized seat. My wife and I are both able to use this because while I like to stand up and use it, my wife prefers to sit down on the included inflatable seat. The pump and paddle that are included in this kit are of fantastic quality, and in my opinion would not need to be upgraded. I also love that the paddle matches the board perfectly. The board uses what is called a drop stitch flooring, which makes the board hard as a rock when properly inflated to the right psi. This flooring helps with support and stability and all the best high end boards are using this type of technology. The rocker angel on the front of the SUP is the perfect angel to help minimize wake and waves, which helps to also keep you more stable on the water. The board has an inflate time of about 8 minutes with a hand pump to reach the recommended 10 psi, and about 4 minutes if you use an electric pump. The BOTE AeroUltra inflatable is constructed like a tank, and they have used a fusion composite along with the drop stitch floor, heat pressed seams with rail tape, and a BVA foam pad. All of these components together makes this SUP board so strong that it should last for quite a long time. It has bungees so you can bring your backpack or dry bag, along with D rings surrounding the SUP. The anti slip BVA deckpad has a diamond cut and is very comfortable and easy to stand on. The diamond pattern that's cut into the deck not only looks good but also helps with drainage! You also have a removable center fin that can be switched out if you choose. If it is windy and you don't use this center fin, you'll notice that the SUP will be pushed sideways in the water! The three neoprene carry handles have been reinforced and heat sealed to the board. I love that the board and accessories fit into a bag that is a backpack which is very manageable because that means that I won't have any problems carrying my own SUP. On the other hand, I also love that in the water the board itself can hold up to 250 pounds, which means that if my adult son or my husband want to ride it they won't have any problems with it bowing or holding either one of them up. I really appreciated the quality and construction of this SUP! It has everything that I'm looking for at a decent price and includes most of the thoughtful extras! I would have liked if they would have included an ankle strap that also attaches to the board incase you fall off of it then your board is always within reach. So do be aware that you will need to purchase one before hand if you don't have one already. I have several extra ankle straps so it isn't a problem for me. My main issue is that they didn't include an action camera mount on the front of the SUP. That really would have set this over the top, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I am super impressed with this kit and highly recommend it!

What did one SUP say to the other SUP??? S'up! LOL! Sorry about the dad joke...but not too sorry. On to the review! My experience is more with closed river kayaks, and that this is not. This is more for casual water than the rapids. That being said, whether this is for SUPing or kayaking, this is a great and quality entry product! This SUP comes with everything you need...but the life vest (like batteries, this is almost always sold separately). You can start using this SUP right out of the box! The board is sturdy and all the seams are of great quality. the design and color is not that appealing to me, but this is merely cosmetic and does not affect the functionality of the SUP/kayak. The functionality and quality matches the price of this product. Some SUPs can be found for cheaper, but you get what you pay for. The pump that is provided with this kit is manual and is a two way pump. When the Sup is closer to full or closer to the rated PSI, you can switch the pump to a oneway pump. The kit comes with a blow up seat to convert this SUP to a kayak. The bag is fairly sturdy as well. I would recommend storing this indoors (a garage at least) to prolong its life span. Other than that, do yourself a favor and get this product so you can greet other SUPers with the widely recognized greeting: "S'up!?". LOL

My son and his buddy spend a lot of time on the waters on the eastern shore, and he absolutely loves this board. It does take time and effort to pump up with the included manual pump, but it's worth every second according to him. The attachable fin makes it really stable, the included paddles are light but strong and well balanced, and the seat he can add or remove as needed made his girlfriend really happy because she doesn't like stand ups. It's really attractive to see in the water, and he says that at over 10', it's surprisingly easy to maneuver. All in all, it's a home run.
