  • Great Sounds!
My wife wrote this about this product: I’m a bass player and it took me forever to decide which pedal to purchase. Getting this pedal was definitely the way to go, it has tons of different things you can experiment with! I personally love the lower tones so the “sweet and low” is my favorite along with the “super low”. You can also edit the settings and make it more personalized to your style. Great purchase! I’ve had it for almost a year and I’ve been using ever since every other week consistently and never had a problem with it. ... show more

  • Excellent patches and a great price
This replaced my Line 6 Bass Pod Pro XT, that was five times more expensive. The Boss GT-1B does everything I need. at a very reasonable price. A 100 Programmed patches and 100 User assigned for modifications.

  • Love this pedal
I have read so many reviews that there were a few good and some bad still. In this review I am going to say a lot of good stuff about the quality and the sturdiness of the pedal first off you can use you foot not hands to change tones the syth effects are awesome and most of all you can use this bass effects processor just about any where you want. I have yet to try it outside of my studio and practice place and take it to the stage. However I am happy to say it gave my amp the best punch it has ever had I have a bugera 1000 watt bdx12 amp that sounded good clean but with this effects processor I can chain more pedals to it in the future which I might don't know yet overall I give this pedal five stars ... show more

  • Awesome
My husband wanted something like this and I got this one because it was close to what he wanted. He was very happy with it and after he opened it and tried it out he was even more satisfied with the product because of the different things he could do with it.

  • Not practical. Just makes cool sounds
Got mine four days ago and it's going back. In all honesty, copying another's forum quote, it's just an expensive sound toy with no practical abilities. I spent many HOURS trying to figure out how to program it and make it useful. Downloaded all the manuals and programs they say you need to make this box functional. They even say "MANY" people misunderstand the functions, but, they don't bother telling you how (in layman terms) to understand any of it. You get NO power supply (they do give you batteries), no USB cable. Just the box and the batteries. Its a box full of cool effect patches but in the real world I'd need a four week course to learn how to use this box IF its even possible. The support and manuals and videos are COMPLETELY USELESS! No response from Customer Service. I guess you have to be a genius to figure it out because none of the manuals or instruction videos are of any use at all. On the unit I got, the tuner was not accurate in comparison to three other tuners I normally use. The buttons did not function as described (Description? Yeah, Right....). There is no way to program a small set of patches you might use in a gig. Imagine flipping through over 200 effects on stage between songs. If there is a way to program a few patches to the buttons, they do not make it known in any documentation or video. You CANNOT figure this out on your own unless you're a programming genius on the design team or a savant. It is NOT fully Pass Through. You have to find a sound patch close to your basic sound. I see now why GC has so many used units available. I should have paid attention to the fact that there were only a fair amount of demo videos but none on how to use or program the box. So, I assumed (incorrectly) it was going to be easy to figure out instinctively. NOT!! Don't waste your time! Go old school and find the individual pedals you really need and build a board. Doesn't appear Boss is trying to make any corrections on this unit. Read the forums before you buy! ... show more

  • Small footprint, huge amount of effects!
Easy to set virtual effects chain. Small footprint. It can be expanded with pedal and foot switch controls. Everything and more than you need for bass effects. The possibilities are endless. Well worth the price and quality BOSS effects.

  • nice effects pedal for this price range
Has some decent presets but is easy to tweak for the exact sound you want. Some presets are just silly but serve more as a demonstrator than anything you'll actually ever use. Tuner seems to disagree with my handheld one, and I plugged into a lead guitar effects box to compare. Didn't agree with that either but was close enough. The pedal throw is smooth and accurate, I mostly use it for volume and it offers fine tuning control. I wish it had built in drum tracks, but the looper is really nice (just wish I could loop over drums....) I also wish it came with an AC power unit. Guess that's to keep the cost down but really- it's just a hidden cost since you aren't going to rely on AA batteries for any serious playing. Overall it's a solid contender for this price range. If I were a professional musician I would probably be less concerned about price and get something more advanced, but for the hobbyist this is a good value. (I get a kick out of playing Slayer using the New Gospel setting....ah the irony) ... show more
