Our old water glasses for company meals were cloudy from too many times in the dishwasher so we shopped Amazon for replacement. Our tastes tend toward mid-century modern, and we found this goblet and fell in love with the design. There are two photos of the goblet in the product listing. The photo featured in the listing was shot with the camera slightly above the goblet which makes it look somewhat squashed. The second photo which is the third thumbnail was shot straight on and more accurately shows what the product looks like; thus, I included this shot in this review. The glass is thin, but not as thin as crystal. The listing states that the goblet was manufactured with "Libbey's ClearFire formula for added brilliance, strength, and clarity." Great glasses that can be used for multiple varieties. Not to thin or thick, good everyday wine glasses that also work well with formal dinners. I gave 4 stars due to first shipment was broken. Amazon did replace them with no problems

On a trip to Italy I fell in love with more than just the wine. I fell in love with these glasses too! I love the shape of the glass and how much easier it was to swirl my wine. Also, I was never into holding my wine glass by the stem like you are "supposed to" but with these glasses it just feels natural. I wasn't sure about what size to order, so I ordered one box of the 18.5 and one of the 15 oz. I would definitely say the 18.5 oz are perfect for red wines - not too small and not too big (so they still fit in my cabinet). The price is great too - of course you could spend a lot more on wine glasses but then I would worry about using those expensive glasses for fear of breakage. With these - I don't have to worry about that ... show more

These look much more expensive than they are and the glass is nice and thin - but not to the point of fragility beyond daily use - good low priced set for everyday or casual hosting. I didn’t realize how small the 15 oz would be - they are white wine glasses in my book- go with larger if you’re looking for red wine glasses. We get lots of use from these crystal-clear, sturdy, and nicely thin glasses and guests/family seem to enjoy drinking wine from them. Love that these are made from one single piece of glass for durability (vs. a separate stem that is added later.) We already had a few of these that we purchased a couple of years ago, and placed this order so we'd have a full dozen on hand. It was easy to determine the proper size (Bormioli gives measurements so you can easily match what you already have if necessary.) I'm confident that these would be OK to place in the dishwasher; however, why take the risk when they're so easy to hand wash? Our order arrived a day earlier than expected and all of the glasses were in tact: no breakage. ... show more
