Honestly this is an amazing product, the bolts on stock muffler will probably be seized so get a good drill bit or something to remove the old bolts. The product came with hardware so I didn’t need to go looking for new bolts after. I have 1.6 veloster non turbo with a resonator delete and this muffler. I get small crackles and pops out of my car while still remaining to be decently quiet at idle and lower RPM. I got it installed in one hour. Very easy instructions. Make sure YOU HAVE A 19MM DEEP WELL SOCKET. My bolts were seized and rusted and a blow torch was involved to heat up the bolts (have steady hands the fuel line is very close as well as the fuel tank right underneath it) . I put my car on rhino ramps, wheel chocks, jackstands and a fire extinguisher right next to me for safety measures. Have a can of WD-40 ready when the bolts cooldown and spray liberally and use the breaker bar and loosen up the bolts. Spray some soap mixed with water on the rubber holders of the rear section (WD-40 might degrade the rubber) and pop it out. Overall GREAT sound and I feel a bit of a kick when I floor it. Installed in less than 30 minutes with a new gasket (which was hard to get besides going to the dealer). Love how it doesn't sound like a lawnmower and it gives a nice low aggressive grumble. At around 2-3k rpms it sounds NICE and makes a huge difference in throttle response! Would definitely recommend!!! ... show more

Easy to install! I did the install by myself. The product is well manufactured and has a great sound! I love that it doesn't have that fart cannon sound like some after market exhausts! The proce was right and it shipped out the next day. Great overall experience.

Well, I promised a review after I installed the Borla on my Veloster, non-turbo, (on the K&N intake comment here on Amazon), and, yes, it sounds great!! Not overly aggressive at an idle, (as also commented in other review), but when you put your foot into it, it produces a growl that you'll like!! I took it to a local mechanic who had it installed in about 15 minutes. Borla made this exhaust system to fit perfectly. Coupled with the K&N intake set-up, (which is also made specifically for the Veloster), I am extremely happy with both products. Have not had the chance to get it dyno'ed with this set up yet, so I don't know how much additional HP I'm getting now, but I don't have nay trouble getting it up to speed... :-) ... show more

    • Mellow sound, good quality, but not for the Turbo models
Had to cut off the seized OEM flange bolts. Even though mine only had 10k miles on them, they were seized. Otherwise the install went quickly. Very mellow sound not much more noticeable than stock. End openings don't fit well with Turbo round flanges. If I was to to it again, I'd use a pipe expander to expand the ends making them more round. ... show more

    • The sound is great, not too overwhelming
My Veloster Turbo was a total loss/salvage title after being rear-ended. After everything was straightened out, I needed to replace the bent exhaust. This was my choice as it's the same cost as OEM. The sound is great, not too overwhelming, but a nice little growl when you get on it. My one little nit picky complaint is sometimes it rattles on my bumper/valance at idle. I don't know if that's from my car being out of whack, or the pipes not being bent to tolerance. Overall this was a great buy. ... show more

The Borla exhaust exceeded my expectations. Fit & finish were top-notch, and the installation was uneventful and easy. Despite the recommendation that installation be done by 2 people (to prevent damage from dropping, etc.), I was able to manage this task alone, without a 2nd person's assistance. Unless you're weak, uncoordinated and inept, you should be able to manage this alone without dropping it. It only weighs 27 pounds. ... show more
