  • Much better than the typical rip guide.
Unlike their circular saw jig (which you kind of have to dedicate a saw to, unless you really enjoy fiddling with awkwardly placed set screws), this little jig couldn’t be more convenient. It’s more of a sled than a jig: the saw slips into place and you hold it there while the sled rides up the track, producing a dead straight cut. Bear in mind that you need about three inches of solid stock to the left (and only the left) of your cut to support the clamp. And if you don’t have something supporting the off side of the cut, you’re going to have to pay close attention to keeping the blade vertical to avoid beveling the cut. And the bora clamp is NOT self-squaring, so you have to put some work into laying out the cut. But if like me you’re incapable of holding a jig saw to a straight line (even with the typical saw’s rip guide) and too lazy to carry your table saw around the house, then this little sled (especially if you already have the clamps) is well worth it. ... show more

  • Doesn't fit the Harbor Freight guides
This item is all plastic, and it doesn't fit the Habor Frieght guides. I tried to modify it it fit, but it isn't a good tight fit on the guide. I have have a B&D jig saw and it fits fine.

  • I was able to make a straighter cut freestyle
I was hoping this would work wonders. Well, it didn't. I will freely admit it may have been user error (although I'm not sure how, it isn't that complicated) but I was unable to make a straight cut (and a straight cut with a 45 deg angle was horrible). I was able to make a freestyle cut much straighter when I wasn't fighting with this guide. ... show more

  • Wired ok with my saw brand
Was able to cut a straight line for a jig saw. The product is a little clumsy to use but worth the money if you already have the Bora bar clamp.

  • Works great. When sliding this jigsaw clamp along the track ...
Works great. When sliding this jigsaw clamp along the track of the Bora edge guide, there's a tiny bit more slop/looseness than I would prefer, but then again it is made of plastic and it's inexpensive, but it works fairly well so this deserves five stars. It is made of plastic, so I can't expect an extremely tight tolerance, because the plastic being a softer material needs more clearance to move freely. This thing works great though. It's a fairly accurate guide, and I've used it to make many long cuts (6 to 8 feet across) on melamine boards, and the cuts all came out straight and are aligned to the edge guide. It's certainly way better than freehand, and trying to overcome the natural blade drift of a jigsaw without a guide. This tool was a good buy, certainly exceeded my expectations. ... show more
