  • Great Design but Pricey
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Pink Garden Flowers
I didn’t use the Boppy Nursing Pillow for nursing, but we’ve been using it regularly for tummy time and it works really well. It gives my baby good support and makes tummy time more comfortable and engaging. It’s helped encourage lifting their head and staying in position longer. The size is big and sturdy, which makes it feel secure and supportive. The design is really cute, and it also comes with a cover, which is great for traveling and easy to remove and wash when needed. That said, it does feel a bit expensive for what it is. While it’s useful and well made, the price is higher than expected for a pillow primarily used for support. Overall, it’s a nice product and definitely helpful just wish it were more affordable. ... show more

  • Helpful to raise baby higher during breastfeeding! Firm and comfortable!
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Forest Green Dinos
Love that it is firm and higher so my baby is not to low where I have to arch my back or neck during breast feeding. It took getting used to at first but I would def recommend if you want your child to be higher up during feeding. It is also firmer which helps keep the baby in place and not sink in. Traveling it fits well, not crazy big. The dinosaur cover is also very cute, easy to take off and clean if needed. ... show more

  • Great breastfeeding pillow
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Pink Garden Flowers
Excellent breastfeeding pillow. Nice and stiff so the baby doesn’t droop while feeding.

  • Buy the original
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Pink Garden Flowers
The original boppy is SO MUCH better. The fit of this pillow does not hit the mark. It doesn’t wrap around your stomach like the old boppy. It just kind of sits on the side. The sides of the pillow are sharply tapered compared to the front, which is bulky and very stiff. I find it really uncomfortable to use when nursing, as it lifts my baby too high (and I am 5’9”). This also cannot be used for tummy time because the front is so huge and tall. The print is cute, but that’s about it. ... show more

  • Okay, but not great for breastfeeding.
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Forest Green Dinos
I have tried several breastfeeding pillows, including the original Boppy (on the left in the picture). I heard so many good things about it that I was excited to try it for breastfeeding my first baby. I found that it was too round for baby to comfortably and securely lay on it while latched, he kept rolling towards me which put him in an awkward position relative to my breast. And the small opening made for a snug fit around my midsection, but it worked. So when they came out with the new shape, I was stoked to try it! From the description, it was supposed to have a larger, firmer surface area for better positioning and a wider, boxier opening to fit around the midsection more comfortably. I was surprised when I first opened it as it was smaller than I expected (new version on right in picture), in fact, overall it's smaller than the original version. It is much firmer than the original, which I can't decide if that's a positive or negative or just different. My biggest disappointment in the new design, however, is that while the shape does appear more boxy, the pillow itself is still super round which leads to the same issue with baby rolling into me and putting him at an awkward angle when latching. And because they made the sides narrower, my arms/elbows don't have a comfortable place to rest while baby is latched. I find that my elbows just kind of dangle off the edges so I have to cross my arms over/in front of baby if I don't want to hold my elbows up. In searching for the best nursing pillows, I've also tried the My Brest Friend nursing pillow, which you can also find on Amazon. It's a tad more expensive, but it has a wide flat base that prevents baby from rolling into your body when feeding that I've found to work better than the Boppy. I know a lot of people really like the Boppy so I recommend still trying it out if you think it will work for you. If you don't like it or find that it's only "okay" but not great, I recommend giving the My Brest Friend a try and seeing if its design works better for you. With that said, I have found other uses for the Boppy that has convinced me to still keep and use it. It's great if you are just holding the baby, it provides a place for your arms to rest while the baby is in your arms. So you kind of stack the Boppy on your lap, your arms on the Boppy, and then the baby in your arms. Or you can let the baby lay on the Boppy up against your body and just support with arms as needed. I also really like using the Boppy for tummy time. You can prop baby up with arms/elbows resting on the Boppy rather than putting baby flat on the floor. It's made tummy time a lot less stressful because baby enjoys it way more than being flat (we will transition to flat on the floor as baby gets older and starts to develop just a bit more head control and neck strength). I have decided though that I prefer the original Boppy for both of these things. The new version's sides are too narrow for comfortable arm position while holding the baby and it's too tall and stiff for comfortable tummy time. ... show more

  • Firm (good for me, not the happiest baby)
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Gray Gentle Leaves
I love this Boppy pillow because my arm strains HARD with my baby while bottle feeding. I tried putting her on top of it, and she kept crying and crying. I could tell she was uncomfortable. It is SO firm. I reverted back to propping my arm up on my couch, and a soft pillow under her bottom while I hold her in a football hold. Then I use the Boppy for propping up my arm that’s straining from holding the bottle up for so long. It came in a nice box, already puffed up and form, and very clean. The design is cute too. I just don’t think it’s comfortable for my baby. But, I love it for my arm that’s straining from holding a bottle all day. ... show more

  • Great for Breastfeeding
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Tan Happy Houseplants
I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the bad feedback the new version of the boppy got in my Facebook mom groups!! I love this pillow for breastfeeding. It lifts baby up perfectly for me and takes pressure off my back and keeps me from having to hunch. Idk why people are complaining about this pillow or its firmness. It’s perfect for breastfeeding. ... show more

  • Not for larger breasts too firm
Style: New Nursing Pillow Color: Cream Retro Squiggles
I was really excited for this pillow because hunching over was putting a lot of strain on my upper back. I had already tried the My Brest Friend pillow, and it didn’t work for me. Unfortunately, I ran into a similar issue with this one—not as bad, but still enough for me to return it. If you have larger breasts, this pillow just isn’t practical or functional. The opening is also quite small, making it difficult to get it comfortably around you. It *is* a durable pillow, but the design is too firm compared to the previous Boppy pillow, which worked 10/10 for me. I found myself wrestling with it trying to make it work, and honestly, a regular household pillow did a better job. It did provide great support for holding my baby, but not for the actual purpose of feeding. On a different note, for such a well-known pillow, you’d expect it to arrive with proper packaging. It literally came in a plain Amazon box with no tags, labels, or cover—just the pillow tossed inside. ... show more
