I am so pleased with these shelves. They are super lightweight, and maybe top heavy depending on what you put on them. So easy to assemble. I put two of them back to back and it offers plenty of unique space.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Perfect shelf for an apartment or small space. It's not a big shelf so not much can fit on each shelf but that's ok because clutter isnt cute either. You'll need a PHILIP HEAD SCREWDRIVER to assemble this product (screwdriver is not included). Was fairly easy to assemble thanks to the good instructions, accurately labeled parts and precut drill holes. I got it done in about 30 minutes. One of the pictures in the listing reads "HIGH QUALITY WOOD" & you might assume that it is solid wood but it's not. Its premium "particle board"/ pressed wood that was made to look like solid wood. It looks great but I wouldnt place this on my balcony or anywhere where it will get wet or anywhere moist. Pressed wood will swell, warp, and deteriorate when wet. I didnt see in the listing that it is moisture resistant so I dont feel like it would be able to withstand the outdoors. Even though it states that the top of each board is waterproof, I'd still be careful about getting any water on it. Comes with an anti-tip / fall kit that you would have to screw to the wall. DEFINITELY recommend using this if you have kids or pets to prevent the shelf from falling & hurting them. It's not heavy but it will still hurt the little ones. I love the design. It looks very modern. And very affordable. Highly recommend.

I am somewhere between beginner and intermediate as far as experience in putting together "fast furniture" like this shelf. I was able to do it in 40 minutes by myself. All of the pieces were labeled well and the instructions easy to follow. I did not need a drill....all of the pre-made holes lined up perfectly. The only thing I needed that was not provided was a Phillips head screwdriver. I ordered the Rustic brown, and am very pleased with the look. The shelves are well made and painted to look like real wood (they are pressboard inside of course). The shelf is feels sturdy once put together. I like to live on the wild side, so I didn't use the straps to attach the shelf to the wall. But they are provided should you need them. My only minor complaint is that some of the stickers they used on the pieces to label them for easy assembly are a little difficult to remove. Especially the manufacturers information on the top shelf. I would recommend removing the stickers as you are assembling the shelf, so if you have a piece that you cant get the residue off of, you can orient it in a way that you won't be able to see it.

It's not stable so i'm not sure what use it is as a shelf. it looks nice though, a shame you can't put anything on it without it tipping over.
