These are some of the nicest shelves that I have ever bought. They are Swedish Style shelves and very attractive. They are very sturdy and well made. The wood is beautiful and the metal frame is rigid but stylish. This is important.......They are a snap to put together. I mean I put these together in 5 to 7 minutes no tools and a monkey could do it without instructions. They are machined properly and everything just lines right up. You put these together with large Machine screws that have allen heads. Nothing could be easier! They are not expensive especially if you buy them in pairs. (Which I did). This was easy peasy to put together. I did it by myself in about 10 minutes. It's a good size and has the depth needed for the larger books. It did need levelling once it was put together which was very easy to do by adjusting the height of the feet and once levelled is very sturdy. The shelves are quite solid and although I've stacked a lot of heavy books on them I have confidence that there will be no sagging. Time, of course, will tell about that. It arrived very quickly and in good condition. The shelves were each wrapped individually to avoid scratching and the parts were packaged in such a way that it protected the wood from damage by the iron side pieces. I would definitely recommend this bookcase and I would buy it again. ... show more
