I’m a prior advanced skater, age 11-36, 15 yrs later I’m rusty but not a novice. A novice may have no issue but expect to go faster than you’d expect. Thus possibly scaring the heck out of you and questioning why you spent this amount of money on skates. But that’s true for all well made speed skates with killer wheels. New to skating? This means wheels are a lot bigger than normal wheels. So don’t go letting your friend with a sick sense of humor convince you into upgrading the wheels. You will go sailing, fear for you life, and possibly wet yourself. Otherwise this an awesome skate. 😁 It has the ability to mold to your foot to making it more comfortable and avoiding blisters. Also has extra Velcro on tongue so it doesn’t keep slipping. The lavender is so pretty, exactly as shown. I cannot stress this enough, be sure you measure accurately. I ordered a half size too small in length 😩. Just because your bud is size 7 doesn’t mean you’ll have same measurements due to width or maybe you’re missing a toe or something. Well, possibility you will anyway if you’ve never skated before. 😈, kidding. (Clearly I’m the friend w/ sick sense of humor- go faster whimp!) Overall a supremely awesome skate. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

I've been skating on heeled skates for 5+ years and this is my first pair of non-heeled skates. They're super comfortable. I don't understand the velcro strap, to be honest. Is it just to keep the laces down? Does it provide any ankle stability or are they just decoration? I will keep asking these questions at derby practice but I do love these skates

The quality of the shoe is fine although the sizing is off; and the skates are very stiff. The biggest issue aside from that though is the shoe came delivered already worn, beat up, and dirty. Where is the quality control before sending the orders?

I have wide feet and an angry baby toe on one of them. I normally wear a 9 wide or 9.5 regular woman’s shoe. I purchased a size 7 skate and they are very comfortable. The only change I made was I swapped out the insoles for a little more cushion.

The media could not be loaded. First let me say these skates are worth it. Excellent! But. Like most others, I echo this: The sizing is confusing and annoying. I kept on searching for "If you wear this size in X brand, you wear X size in Bont" - nothing like that out there. I followed the Bont instructions, but started doubting myself / wondering if things would change with thick socks. Looked at the EU size I wore in Doc Martens. Decided to size up. NOPE! Had to return and get a new pair. My trajectory: Typically wear size 6.5/7. Ordered size 5 Bont based on reading other reviews and adding wiggle room to my measurement based on their instructions. WAY too big. Returned and got size 4. They are snug but fit. Might have also been ok in a 4.5. All that said I am loving the skates. Excellent maneuverability, the wheels do very well outdoors (I go on trails and in the city in Philadelphia). They handle do curbs and rough pavement and even weird "boardwalk" composite material no problem.
