Even if you are not inclined towards bonsai, if you keep small plants in your home or kitchen or maintain a collection of plants on a patio. The tools in this kit can be just as easily used to maintain, weed and trim the herbs on your deck or kitchen counter. The kit contains many small tools that are perfect for reaching into spiny plants like cactus or succulent arrangements, or adjusting plants inside of ecospheres. The tiny shovel, trowel and rake are great for weeding small containers or actually working with bonsai. Don’t let the label of this product turn you off from the broad applicability of it, if you have any small plants where your typical tools, scissors and hands won’t fit this is the kit you need. The whole set comes with a tidy case that can be zipped closed and tucked away, keeping it within reach for a kitchen counter herb-garden without looking out of place in a shelf of cookbooks. This is a good buy for any budding gardener, even one living in an apartment. Due to the nature of some of the tools, I do not recommend it for children younger than teenager, but even they might enjoy having some more sophisticated tools for their plants. This 23-piece gardening set is the perfect gift for any gardener. Every tool has a unique use, and all would be useful in any garden. The nonslip handles are handy, since gardening can be a wet and slippery business. All tools are sturdy, definitely heavy duty and made to last. That is definitely important when fighting weeds with strong and deep roots. The measuring marks on the transplanter are particularly helpful: when a seed packet or small nursery plant indicates how deep they should be planted, you can get the exact recommended depth. The gloves made me laugh, since the right-hand glove has what look like deep nails on each end, intended for grasping and pulling out weeds. Though practical, it looks like a something from a Halloween costume. The gloves are well made and sturdy, good protection from getting dirt under the nails, but they were too large for my hands. They fit my husband just fine, however, and he is an avid gardener, so they will be well used. Be aware that the gloves might be less useful for a left-handed person, since only the right glove has the fingernails. The accompanying tote bag is also useful, particularly since it has pockets that allow tools to be positioned sharp side up, thus protecting the bag and ensuring that all tools are visible. It is hard to imagine a better gift for anyone who loves to garden, since even if the person has a decent collection of garden tools, it is useful to have more than one of each of these.

This 23-piece gardening tool set is a very complete kit that includes just about everything needed for routine gardening and yard work. The tools themselves have impressed me with their solid construction and comfortable ergonomic design. They feel sturdy in the hand and don’t feel like they’ll bend or break during normal use. One thing I noticed right away is that dirt doesn’t cling to these tools the way it does with many of my older gardening tools. That makes them much easier to clean when I’m finished working in the garden. The set does have a couple of areas that could be improved. The included gloves aren’t very practical for working in hot weather. My hands became drenched in sweat after a short time, and I ended up taking the gloves off and working without them. The storage tote is another weak point. While it’s nice to have everything organized in one place, I’d like to see the tote made a little taller so the included knee pad could be stored inside instead of separately. The sides also need to be stiffer. Once the tools are loaded, the tote tends to flop over when it’s set down because it doesn’t provide enough support for the weight of the tools. The bungee cord meant to hold the tools in the pouch broke the first time I removed the shovel out of the pouch. Despite those shortcomings, the quality of the actual tools is excellent, and that’s the most important part of the kit. If the tote and gloves were upgraded, this would easily be a five-star set. As it stands, it’s still a very good value and one I’d recommend to anyone looking for a complete gardening tool kit.

Overall I am very pleased with this set of gardening tools!! The overall build quality of the tools is good. None of the tools feel flimsy or weak in my hands or in use, I do not have any reservations about the tools holding-up to rigorous use. There is a good variety of tools included with the kit. I did not have any specific expectations or needs when I ordered the kit, however, upon receipt and inspection of the tools, I appreciate the variety included. The gloves that are included with the kit were a bit surprising. It is always good to have a set of gloves when doing yard work, however, I did not know how to take the hard plastic finger tips on the one glove. After some thought, I think that this is brilliant. As I thought about it, I can definitely recall times when I have been needing to dig in the dirt and only had my hands to use. The hard finger tips will be very handy in that scenario! The included bag with the kit is great. The bag was big enough for all of the tools that came with the kit and had plenty of room left over for some old tools that I had as well. The price of the kit was $29.99 (US) at the time of my purchase. I believe that this is a very fair price for the kit and the quality. I am very pleased with the purchase.

This set has absolutely everything I could want for tending to my bonsai and then some. I was so impressed with it that I showed it to a florist friend of mine and she immediately asked where I got it so she could order one for herself — that's about as good an endorsement as you can get from someone who works with plants professionally. The training wires in multiple gauges are a standout feature — having different sizes available is essential for proper shaping work and not having to source them separately is a real convenience. The tweezers are genuinely fantastic for detailed work on pine needle type trees where precision matters and regular pruning tools just can't get in there cleanly. The high-carbon steel shears and scissors feel sharp and well-made, the ergonomic handles reduce hand fatigue during longer sessions, and everything stays neatly organized in the included storage case so nothing gets lost between uses. The waterproof repotting mat is a thoughtful bonus that makes indoor repotting so much less stressful — the copper buckle corners snap up to contain soil and water mess which is a lifesaver in an apartment or on a nice table. This is a really great set of gardening hand tools. It includes a nice variety of the basic, most frequently used tools. The tools seem to be very well made and durable, not at all flimsy or cheap feeling, with an ergonomic rubber gripped handle. The kneeling pad is a bit small but does provide sufficient cushion on my knees. The gloves are pretty nifty with claw fingertips on one. Very handy. The set was described as including 15 plant tags and I only received 5 but I wont use them anyway so that was no bother for me. The only reason I deducted one star is because I dont care for the bag. Although it does appear the be well made and spacious enough for these tools and then some, I would prefer a bag with sides that are firm enough to hold up the weight of the tools when put into the slots. Overall this is a fantastic set of tools that is well worth the price.
