  • For the bonsai experimenter
Format: Paperback
This book is best for its species-specific descriptions of various techniques for the propagation of many plants suitable for (eventual) bonsai training. Excellent photos to spur the imagination of what can be in time with effort, excellent descriptions of the techniques to get there.

  • outstanding
Format: Paperback
I think this book is excellent. Although the trees are native to Europe, most of the advice applies perfectly to people in temperate North America. Scots Pine, yew, spindle, beech, hawthorn, apple, willow etc... all species are covered in detail with info on training, pests, propagation, etc.... Definitely not just for Europeans, anyone in the Eastern U.S. and most of Canada will find this very useful. Great photos, too! -j ... show more
