I found that this boat did well with me, 220 lb, and my 60 lb dog. Paddling at a gentle Pace. We went three plus miles per hour, four plus miles per hour at a moderate pace, and five plus miles per hour at a heavy pace. I only aired up each chamber to about 8 psi because at this this pressure the boats seem perfectly rigid. The seats didn't offer any back support, but at this price point they are comfy enough. Much better than the inflatable ones. I tied the boat on the roof of the vehicle to get it to the lake, deflated on the way back. If I sit with my knees off the edge of the boat and my feet in the water, the boat is still stable. The boat hooks in to one side or another. Sometimes when you are going fast. This behaves like a lot of pirogues, flat bottom canoes, that I've used in the past. I did not use the big skeg. Sometimes with these sort of hulls you have to paddle a few times on one side or the other to even out the direction and keep straight. I'm surprised that this boat mimics a traditional boat. I guess that's a testament to how stiff it is.

We’ve tested this kayak out three times already in a lake, river and the sound. It has been sturdy and fun to use. I would agree with other reviewers to upgrade your seat and oars to make it a much more enjoyable and comfortable experience. It is heavy to use as a back pack! I would recommend inflating it at your car and then hauling it to where you want to launch. The “back pack” that with the deflated kayak and equipment weighs about 50 lbs? Too heavy for me to just put on my back to transport, but easy for my boyfriend. It was very easy to pump up and to put back into the pack when done.

The boat is great! I have been wanting an inflatable kayak that is just as rigid as the inflatable paddle boards. Note though that the boat is great, the features (seats, paddles) are terrible. It will be easy to update those. The seats come with a cushion that will elevate you up and it makes the boat super shakey. We removed the cushions and that fixed that issue. The seats themselves terrible, they supper maybe … maybe! An inch of your bum. I’ve got better paddles and better seats and it works great. I’m happy with the boat. But know if you’re buying, you’ll need to update the other equipment and you’re buying this for the boat.

Arrived early, the box had no damage , fed ex delivered perfectly. Opened box and everything was packed well, I inflated and allowed to sit for hours , no leaking. The kayak seats don’t Velcro to the floor , not sure if that will be a problem. Have high hopes for this on camping trips . Will update if needed. Update; Took to Chattahoochee River and kayak performed well and tracked straight .

Just delivered and rolled it out and inflated it. Seems very good quality, sturdy, I like the hard ends in case of hitting the dock, looooots of room for gear and 2 people and the dog. Taking it out in 2 weeks and if it handles as good as it feels on the floor this is a plus, plus. The only things are it is tough to roll it up and deflate it yourself and get it in the bag, if the bag was 2-3 inches wider it would fit better as the unit rolls up wide. Even with the supplied belt on the wider portion it is still awkward. Also there is a tool that comes with the patch kit but nothing shows what it is for. The patch kit is just a piece of rubber, no glue no tool no directions. The directions are okay, not complete but enough to figure the thing out, but the spelling is correct and the English is correct so that is a plus. Added 6/27 after use Kayak is sturdy, skeg is unusable for us, you have to get it out really deep water to put it on then you cannot get in without a dock. You sit quite low so paddling for smaller people is an issue, their arms hit the sides, might need to add an extra pad to raise them up, might need an extra pad anyway, my butt was pretty sore after an hour. Paddling every stroke hits the sides so I am going to duct tape the paddles so it does not wear down the sides.

I like the boat itself, it is pretty stable and seems well built. The accessories are all garbage. The seats have no back support and the padding is too soft. The foot holds are useless.

I had this kayak delivered to the lakeside lodge where I was staying which worked out great but the seats were useless. The boat over all is great but the seats are not for adults and there's no back support what so ever. I think the kayak has average stability and tracking but I might add a second fin in the center. The pump is a ok and the boat is easy to pump up. The paddles are your cheap average alloy tubes but I would upgrade to carbon/kevlar. I might return it if I can't find better seats.

I was (pleasantly) shocked by the size once inflated. I was also very surprised how quickly it was to fill up. Then came the pack-out weight, and it's heavy. Worse yet is the absolute garbage bag/backpack that they send with it. It is a soft and pretty thin nylon bag with a zipper I'm expecting not to last more than a couple of trips. There are two main complaints I read prior to my purchase. 1. The paddles. 2. The Seats. To me the paddles seem passable, but I also ordered a 92" carbon fiber replacement ahead of its arrival. I will keep them and hold them as backup. The bottom of the seats are nice and thick, and they separate from the back (which is a benefit). The backs are absolute garbage, with no vertical support, and the only support is from the two straps that hold the backs vertical to the boat. Knowing that very few people liked the seats, I decided to also order a Travel Larry Chair ahead of its arrival. My plan is to cover the bottom aluminum bars of the seat with pool noodles, and buy 4 straps to hold the seat both forward and in reverse. I can't give the total package a 5 star upon initial inflation and it as a total package. The backpack needs to be made from the same coated material they use on the boat. Additionally the shoulder straps also need more padding due to the pack-out weight. Even with the additional $200 for the upgrades, it is still less than half the price of a competitive Bote, also made in China.
