Lots of buttons for kids to press and many sounds. It’s attractive and can be used as a teaching tool. The microphone part doesn’t work very well so I gave it four stars but all in all both my 2 and 4 year old grandkids thought it was great. Their favorite part besides opening and closing the cash drawer was the moving conveyor belt to get the groceries checked out. Worth the money and one of the better ones we have had. My granddaughter had one of these that was a hand me down. She loved it so much I ended up buying a new one. She loves to play store. The buttons work abc make realistic sounds. It’s her favorite toy. NOTE: Does not come eight batteries. You’ll need three AA.

I got this register as a replacement to a smaller, less involved one that would randomly make high pitched sounds in the middle of the night and scare my boy. This one is SO MUCH COOLER! The microphone actually works, so “cleanup on aisle 3” is way more fun to say! And the conveyor belt is just awesome. It looks small, but it’s impressive. It didn’t work at first because we had old batteries, thankfully it works great with fresh ones. Our son asks to play grocery shopping just about every day now. There’s a lot of buttons and things to keep us busy. For extra fun, pull up YouTube on your phone and play old 70’s supermarket music lol , really adds that extra touch! ... show more

I bought this toy cash register after lots of research- the fact that it was voted best on the internet helped with my decision. HOWEVER apparently I have very different expectations when it comes to quality and functionality. Some things that were pointed out in the negatives in the reviews here are true- 1) the chord for the scanner is so short that it’s almost pointless- however (and I’m sure the makers with disagree) if you take the cash register side off (screws on the bottom) and you take the back off the scanner, you will find a knot in both ends of the chord- when untied, the chord is more useable. To prevent “pull” which is what I think they were going for, I put hot glue on both ends where the chord comes out of the toy. 2) Also note that the scale does register, but with very heavy items only. 3)The bar codes on the items do not work...they do not put a dollar amount on the screen and the “scanner” on the conveyor belt has to be pushed down in to get it to beep. 4) Also note that the convey belt is very loud-and so is the “pop up approved”. 5)The drawer barely opens. It can be pulled out a little farther than the spring ejects it to, but it is not that easy to get to the money (which is very cheap looking and feeling - the coins have different values printed on them, also in blue, but they are all the same size and are 10, 25 and 50 cents and the paper money came bent as it was in the bottom of the little basket. 6) The 4 items that came as groceries are all cardboard and held together by tape (plus 3 are junk food items) 7) the microphone speaker is under the toy so it’s barely audible 8) the little basket that comes with it is also almost pointless- when you put the 4 groceries inside, their is barely room for fingers to grab the handle, which because their is only 1, the whole basket tips. I love that this register has all the features! My kids have always wanted a huge play one but this small toy satisfied them. The only thing I wish was different would be the money. I would have liked to see real looking money with numbers that are actually on money and not a $12 bill.

The first one I got didn’t work, and they sent me a replacement right away. The second one all works well but still the belt button is a little sensitive if you press it too hard it will get stock under, so you have to tell the kids to be gentle with it. The media could not be loaded. We have a kitchen and shelves with boxes of food my kids play store with. I ordered this after looking at many of them for the best option. This is affordable and my kids love it, my almost 10 year old even plays with it quite a bit. The basket it come with is tiny so they don't play with it, and the boxes of food it came with were ruined pretty quickly. The microphone did not work initially but one day it just started working. It only comes with one card and my youngest loses things frequently. All together I'm glad I ordered this and would recommend it. ... show more

I was a little skeptical to purchase this because of the mixed reviews, but I figured what the heck. Im so glad I got it! My daughter absolutely loves this little cash register. It has a lot to it, and for the price it was totally worth it. We've had it for about a month now and have not had any issues with it not working properly. The only reason I did not give this 5-stars is because the cord for scanner is so short that sometimes when my daughter tries using it, if she doesn't stick right by the register it will pull towards her and caused the register to almost fall off of her table. Also, and it may just be me, but the beeping from the scanners are SO loud. My daughter likes to push the button...A LOT, and will even hold it down sometimes. I wish the beeping wasn't as loud, but seeing my daughter happy and enjoying the register is worth the ear aches lol I definitely recommend this register! ... show more

This cash register has lots of fun features my grandkids have lived like the moving conveyor and the price scanner and microphone (though that sound quality isn’t great but I don’t expect it to be. But one feature that they liked was the credit card “approved” pop up when you slide the card. I gave it to them when they didn’t the night and the pop up has already quit working. Didn’t last long at all and they’re so disappointed! Should have lasted longer than a day. But overall, it’s a great little toy with so many fun parts and they really enjoyed playing grocery store! Fix that pop up and you get a 5! ... show more
