I am an admitted phone snob. I have no problem dishing out a grand on the latest and greatest. Truth is, I needed a cheap device to get me by , I broke my S22 ultra. This phone does not disappoint. It's incredible 😍, and the price point cannot be beat. Watch reviews, read some, then buy this. Don't let the OS scare you. Don't need Android 14. Honestly it's not much of an upgrade but this phone absolutely kills. Get yourself one of these before you can't get them.     • Love blu phones
Found Blu phones 5 years ago, i upgraded or just tried several, whether for better camera or larger screen or updated operating system, which you can at the price, i still have all my blu phones (6), and all still operational, my favorite lasted a year before battery life became 1/2 day heavy usage. But this review is for this bold N2, which has been my go-to phone for the last year and a half, battery lasts all day and into the night most days. Again heavy use. I know somebody that has one of the very expensive name brand phones, and we compared, speed, camera, having multiple apps open, and and there's might have been faster by a blink with opening apps or browsing, their camera was obviously better, although you had to really zoom to see the differences, as far as having opened apps, we gave up, the bold n2 handled many apps open at once. This phone has Never Frozen or glitched, unlike some of the earlier blu phones i had, which was rare and restarting fixed problems for months b4 it would happen again. It's 5G, has gorilla Glass, room for two SIM cards. Does not come bloated with junk you'll end up deleting or removing anyways, in fact it's one of the things I like most about Blu phones, is it doesn't come with a whole lot, allowing you to decide what's installed. The curved screen is really this phone's downfall for me, I've gotten used to it but I still will nudge the edge of the screen with my finger and cause something to happen. The speakers and or volume on every blu phone is adequate, but nothing great, in fact the one thing that drives me crazy which you'll see in a lot of reviews, is that there is no quiet medium mode, it's either very quiet or The next step Up is very loud. when I can replace my phone for the cost of what people have to pay for their deductible when they pay for insurance on their phone, I say that's a win-win for me. Have & will buy Blu phones again & always recommend. PS, setting up the phone is easy, I highly recommend not "allowing" the first couple things thats asked, but that's your choice. ... show more

    • Great phone for the money
I wanted to love this product and I do in some of it's features. I've been a BLU fan since 2016 and I have owned many of their flagship models. The bad. The curved screen looks good but makes it glitchy. I have to be very careful when handling it or it will do things I don't want it to do. It will sometimes glitch out for no apparent reason. It's easy to recover by shutting down the apps and restarting, but it is somewhat annoying. No stereo speakers. No NFC, no wireless charging, no Android 12 or 13 for that matter, no memory card slot, no headphone jack, volume control stepping still suks like on previous models, and only a 6.6" screen...why??? I would have paid a bit more to have these things. This is supposed to be a Flagship. The good. Beautiful colors and graphics. Plenty of storage, fingerprint sensor works better than any previous BLU phones, 5G is amazing. It is fast and responsive most of the time. Build quality is excellent.     • It's exactly what you expect at the price point
Update: After 5 months the screen is failing. It keeps flickering and there are weird gray areas around the edges and on the screen. I have been a fan of BLU phones for quite a while. They put out a decent product at a fair price. I had the f91 5G phone for a while and accidentally broke it and this was supposed to be a somewhat of an upgrade. I am a little disappointed especially with the touch screen. The rounded edges make typing on the sides difficult and it doesn't seem to recognize a keystroke on any key that is close to the edge of the screen. You have to type slow and push hard for it to recognize where You are touching. It is also not updating my contacts correctly. Overall for $230 it's not a bad phone but it falls short of my expectations from this company. ... show more

    • Great affordable phone
For several years I had an older model BLU phone. I actually owned my first several years ago, liked them, so have gone back to them a few times now. Unfortunately something strange was happening to my old one, started having issues with storage space, it said (although I had a large SD card installed), then the camera stopped working, and then I missed an important phone call, phone never rang. So decided time for a new one. I like the BLU brand, they seem to build a solid phone for a decent price. And this has all the stuff I want. Was thinking that I would like a 5G phone, and really liked the idea of a AMOLED screen. I am not a heavy gamer, so having the fastest chip was not super important to me, most chips would probably do what I wanted to do. It does have two SIM spots, but no place for an SD card, so wanted something with a decent amount of storage (256 is more than my laptop has). In the box it has a wall wart, shorter USB cable, a USB C to headphone jack, and a little SIM card ejector pin (a regular straight pin also works well, if you lose the one they send). It has a screen protector installed on the phone and includes a little case. While it is nice they include a case, the power button does not line up correctly, so the case kind of "sticks out" where the power button is. Not a huge deal, but I did order a new case that will hopefully fit correctly. I am using Mint Mobile on this phone. When I signed into Google and put in the Mint Sim card, I was able to transfer most everything from my old phone over to my new phone. Several apps did require me to log in again on the new device, but that is fine. It does take a bit of time to set up the way you like it, for example setting up your ringtones, notifications. It has a finger print sensor in the front of the phone, and when you pick up and move your phone, or touch the approximate spot where the finger print sensor it, a little finger print shows up on the screen, touch that with one of the fingers you scan when setting it up and in less than a second, the phone is unlocked. It is a slightly older version of Android (Android 11). I am not sure why they didn't go for the latest version, but 11 is good for my use. The last few days it wants to update the software every few hours, it seems. Keep getting notification that phone needs to restart to install updates, so I do. The screen is very bring, very crisp and clear. Part of that is just because my last one was older, this is newer. It does have a curved class front (just the edges are wrapped around a bit) which feels a little different but I will get used to it. Has a lot of cameras, and honestly have not played much with them. I did take a few pictures, and they look very good. Probably not professional quality, but for kids soccer games, taking a few pics at a family event, or even recording a short video, will work fine. For battery life, I am impressed, but again, new phone. I used it about 6.5 hours yesterday (that was what it said the screen was on), turned down the screen brightness some, but surfed the web, played some games, made some calls, listened to some music, took some pictures, sometimes just had the screen on, but was not actively doing anything, and at the end of the day was down to 30%. So for most users, that is probably more than they might use it in a day, but nice to be able to use it without feeling like you need to find a charger. When I did plug it in (using their brick), charging was fast. Last BLU phone I had lasted about 4 years, expect this one to last 3-4 years. May not as long as some name brand phones, but for the price it is certainly a solid phone. Very happy so far. ... show more

    • Great phone for what it is!
EDIT: I just found out the phone also has 90Hz refresh rate support! You can enable this by going into Settings > Intelligent assistance and toggling the "High-speed Refresh". This discovery makes the phone 100x more awesome and makes it harder to beat given the price. You're welcome. ;) initial review: I purchased the phone at its original 249.99 launch price. For the features it packs at this price point, it's actually really nice. While I wish it supported NFC, wireless charging and came with Android 12, everything else more than makes up for these missing features. The screen looks bright and crisp, build quality is very good, camera takes nice photos, battery lasts a day and a half, and it supports 5G! On top of the usual goodies included with Bold/Blu branded phones, you're getting a decent value for what it is. If the missing features listed above are a dealbreaker, I'd say consider a used, older Pixel or similarly-classed phone. But if you need a new in-box phone with a great display, great specs, and want it protected on day one, this is the phone to beat. ... show more

    • It ain't no BOLD N1
I was really disappointed in this phone, I think the first time for a BLU phone. I felt there was a lot of hype in the reviews about it and it pales to the phone it replaces. It looks nice in pictures but I found it cheap feeling in the hand, not comfortable phone to use. Took over 2 minutes to register one fingerprint and it only worked 25% of the time. No wireless charging which is nearly a sin if you ask me. The only good thing was Android Auto worked great, it have an option in the setting for AA. That was the only positive thing I thought there was. I say skip this phone, too much even at $100 discount for the phone you get. I recommend the BLU G91 Pro, it is an awesome phone, just awesome.     • Disappearing act!
How what a cool phone. Until the 30 day mark and the phone goes bizzerk. The phone is still brand new looking and not dropped out broken. The problem is the screen freezes up or the screen doors not recognize touching of the screen. What a waste of money and carbon footprint!!!! 😭
