Purchased back in February. Have literally used it every single day for several hours a day, heavily loaded up with books and such; constantly putting it down on different surfaces and using the handle to pick it back up, and tossing it into my truck (when my laptop isn't in it), but I have not seen any signs of wear and tear yet. The shoulder straps are nicely padded, which is a must since it is heavy with all my stuff. This backpack is perfect for my needs. I often must spend most of the day at school so I need to have a lot of stuff with me which I like to keep organized and can be very heavy. The largest pocket has a padded area for a laptop which I use everyday. It fits my 13" laptop with or without the sleeve I purchased for it with plenty of room to spare for a larger size laptop. In addition to that I usually bring my binder, a notepad, and 1-2 textbooks. They all fit fine and I could fit more if need be. I use the next largest pocket for snacks, pens, pencils, erasers, i-clicker, hand lotion, small stapler, etc. I love the organization it provides without having the excess weight of a pencil pouch. I use the outer smallest pocket for phone charger, earbuds, and other smaller items. I use the larger outer pocket for scientific calculator and sunglasses. It has plenty of room for both. Sometimes I even bring both cases for my sunglasses and eye glasses and both fit fine. I also love that there are drink holders on both sides. I always carry a bottle of water and the other one is sometimes used to hold an umbrella or whatever else I need quick access to. The shoulder straps are well padded and the padding on the back of the bag was a pleasant surprise as well. I am hoping it will help provide a small amount of ventilation between my back and the bag when it is over 90 degrees and I am walking across campus. Otherwise just having some extra padding when carry a brick on your back is great. It hasn't rained when I've been wearing it yet but the fabric paired with the inside lining seems like it will provide a nice amount of water resistance, along with my umbrella of course. My previous backpack lacked the double lining and allowed water to soak through when it got just a little wet. It is also nice how both of the larger compartments have double zippers so I can zip them up or open them whichever side I like or in the middle, I need my options lol. The padding and sturdy straps keep the weight of my bag from hurting my shoulders and back. For reference I usually walk around with it on for 20-30 mins. I really didn't like all of the buckles hanging around everywhere since I am not using it for hiking or anything like that. So I just cut them off. The straps also can adjust for a very tall person or someone who needs them much larger. I don't need them long at all so I cut them to an appropriate length, had my mom sew them back up, and added fray stop to the ends. These small tweaks were fast and made the backpack absolutely perfect for my needs. I am so happy I came across this bag just by chance while browsing for another. ... show more

Update 02/2019: Customer service reached out to me after reading my review and offered to replace the old backpack with a new one. However, my son already bought another one so I opted for a full refund. This is the kind of customer service of a seller who stands behind its product - and it is much appreciated by me. As such, I changed my ratings from 2 stars to 4 stars. Definitely would try their products again in the future based on this experience. -------- Bought this backpack December 2017 for my son as a Christmas gift when he enters college in September 2018. My son started using it for the last few months of his senior year in HS. We got the green one and lots of his friends and cousins said how nice looking it was - vibrant color, slim and proportion . He took it for 1 week trip to Europe in the summer. When we came to visit him in October 2018 - less than a year after we bought, there was two tears in the zippers of the main compartment. When you looked closely, you can tell that the zippers' stitches are not as strong as others like Swiss Gear. So in less than a year, my son went back and bought a Swiss Gear backpack and said that he loves them - will never buy another brand again. So if you want a good looking backpack for light use once in a while, then the Bolang could be an option. But for college or high school student, it can't handle the daily wear and tear that comes with it. So look elsewhere if that is the case .. ... show more

    • Perfect during rainy travels!
I love this bag! I haven't tested how water resistant it is in extreme conditions, but I set it down in a puddle and it stayed dry inside. It rained heavily on a trip and had wet stuff piled on it and it was sitting in a bit of water for a couple hours on a long drive. The bag wiped off just fine and my clothes inside stayed dry (which was a huge relief as I was totally soaked from the rain! fresh clothes felt awesome!) I love the pocket on the front top. I never realized I needed a pocket in this place before this bag but I find myself storing all of the things I might need to keep handy in this little pocket. When it was down by my feet during a long bus ride it was handy to not have to pull up the whole bag, the front pocket was handy enough. I like the side pockets as well, they stored my water bottle perfectly. I got the grey color and it looks exactly like the picture. I'll upload photos later when my phone isn't acting up. Overall it has been a great backpack and has traveled the world with me :) I'll be bringing it on a road trip next week from Maine to Minnesota and back then headed to Seoul in a few weeks. I have a few backpacks but this is my go to, even for long trips where comfort and convenience is a must. I'll update my review if I think of anything to add after traveling even more with it :) Update: I've used this bag A TON over the past 5 years (it's August of 2022 now). I've traveled with it a ton, hiked with it, brought it on visits home as an overnight bag. It's holding up awesome and still looks like it's new. I love this bag. ... show more
